Ciao Mark! Its fun to watch your journey in Puglia. This summer we visited Puglia region on early July and had a wonderful experience. This is Italy on another level. Its still hidden away and I loved that about it. Alberobello was our favorite too. We stayed in a trulli style house for a week and enjoyed local experience. We were stunned by the grotto nearby. Did you have a chance to visit the caves? The Grotte de Castellana. OMG! Its a place to be especially on a hot summer days if you are not in the beach f course.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure which city you're referring too for the beach club, the ones with bean bags that come to mind was at Tropicana on Mykonos Greece.
Thank you. It's Francesca. I loved that beach club. Of course I'm trying to move to Sicily. Ciao. Love your show. I think I remembered his name. Brian. I am bad with names. Always have been. Sorry
I think she's meaning to what was called, in the middle age "ius primae nocti" that means "First night right". At that time the prince or local noble was so powerfull to have the right by law to spend the first night of marriage with every woman living in his land. This is more of a mith than a real historical fact but it has remained in the popular tales.
Vincenzo Frizzale That's just the girl who can't master English language. With the word "boss" she intended the Local Baron... Who in the legend was a real genius for inventing trulli in order avoiding paying tax to the king bailiffs for any permanent rooftops. And perhaps all European stories about brides couching the first night of weddings with the local barons are all legends born in 19th Century to diminish Feudal Age... If there had been imposed such a hideous feudal decree as the Ius Primae Noctis (as we can see in Braveheart movie), all the peasants had gathered together rioting in mass slauthering the baron and his soldiers and sticking him full of holes with their pitchforks... 🤔
