That was cool! I posted a street running video today and someone watching it told me about Anaheim. I wish I could film that one. I have seen your videos before and I thought that I was subscribed. It appears that I wasnt but I just now subbed. Street running trains are one of my favorite things to film
There are lots of places the trains run the streets. I've filmed in Clearwater FL, Augusta GA, Salem OR & the above Anahein, CA (Link: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=jayjr2007+street+rails ). There are lots more I haven't managed to get filmed yet too. Thanks for watching! JJ & Jason
Jaw Tooth you need to come out to Anaheim. There are 3 different locals that come out of that yard Monday thru Friday. It's a spiderweb of old tracks. Tracks built in 1914 and are still used.
Wow!! Love the train street running there. Absolutely amazing sight. We have a few country towns that have this here in Australia, though most areas miss out. I remember many years ago visiting Nambour in Queensland and seeing the cane train running along Currie Street, which is the main street there.
And there looks like there are driveways along this stretch too. I can't imagine using a left hand turn lane to try to get into my own house and then see a freight train either coming straight toward me or directly behind me. How terrifying.
People who live around there seem quite comfortable with the situation. In Galveston even more so: ua-cam.com/video/ywpbZD22nSE/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, Jason
You were fortunate enough to catch the local, that's awesome Jason great job!! This is cool, I live 10 minutes away from this location, January 23 was my Birthday although, I was out with a lady friend that day : ) - Balerio
Pure luck! I love how everyone has gotten used to the idea & its no big deal. lol I am always stoked to catch a freight running the streets! :) ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=JayJr2007+%22Street+Rails%22
They run Monday through Friday in the mornings and afternoons. This particular local is the Marlboro local (LOA31R) that runs Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning and heads out of Anaheim into the city of Orange, then comes back to Anaheim.
nice street running... btw cars with the open plug doors are bad order... the open plug door can fall off so be aware of that next time you're filming for safety sake

Saw her today parked behind a warehouse in Anaheim. Both still coupled together. Sitting silent and majestic. I took a few pics. Nice video thanks..
