Oh man I’m sorry you’re having troubles! I guess there’s an even newer update that I has come out that I haven’t done yet now…. So I need to get to work on that. I hope they can help you and you can get back to freeze drying soon 🤞🏻
@brenda having the same issue. We have version 5.4.23, and the program appears to update but we're stuck with the original which will no longer complete a cycle. Have only run 5 drying cycles through before this happened... Hope we all get it sorted soon!
This was very helpful, thank you. But..... I started with 5.1.19 and after I installed the update it just says 5.1 I do have candy mode now if I increase the temperature. Yours showed the ".24" at the end, did I get something wrong Edit: I found the answer on the website. "5.X" is all it should show but if you press 5.X twice it will show the full update version. I have v5.1.25d Thanks again.
I upgraded to the v5.1.25d from v5.1.18 and now I have heat errors. I did the heat function test and the trays heat but when I try to do a load in candy mode I keep getting can't detect heat errors. It won't let me defrost either. I've tried this three times and had to manually defrost the machine. Before the upgrade everything worked fine. 😢 Is there a glitch in the software???
Well….. this update worked for me last year when I made this video. I tried to do a new update a few months ago the same way as this, and my whole screen went out - it wouldn’t turn back on. So I called into harvest right and they ended up sending me a new screen and usb port and I had to replace the part myself. (I have a video on how to do this) it worked but was a pretty big project 😅. So it definitely sounds like there’s some glitch when trying to upgrade to certain softwares. I think it was the .25 version that I was trying to upgrade to too. I’d try calling harvest eight customer service and see what they think, they were very helpful
Thank you for your advice! The harvest right repair squad walked me through a relay switch. I had to move the relay switches from heat to drain then went to functions and switched the relay over from drain to heat. I did a test and it worked. 😊 Running a batch tomorrow 🙏 all goes well. I love watching your videos they are very informative and I appreciate all you do. Thanks again 🧡

My freeze dryer has a black screen. I have reset the breakers and unplugged the machine and plugged it back in and it’s still black.

Phew, I just bought a used freeze dryer and upgraded from 5.1.16 to 5.1.25 and mine shows only 5.1 and I thought I messed up too….
