- Easy DIY Motorcycle Turntable / Lazy Susan build for less than $25 if you are short or tight on space in your garage or driveway.
Lazy Susan Bearing (amzn.to/2IAFgZY).
If your ground/floor surface is sealed or slippery you can add some Performix PlastiDip Rubber Coating (amzn.to/2lFMin9) to the base board of your turntable.

I'm a photographer and I have made a few gadgets with those lazy suzan bearings, they hold more then you would think... I shoot models... I made one 4 by 4... then I could pose my model, she would have to hold that pose, my gadget was marked in 10 degree increments... my assistant, would jump in and rotate 10 degrees, click, rotate, click..... and then drop it into software and you had yourself a spinner...... :)

Made this to turn my Harley around in a restricted space. Bike was too heavy for the 2X12 so I reinforced with angle iron. Strictly used to spin the around. (Drive on / spin / drive off)
What bike you have? I just got a Road Glide. Getting in the shed is no problem. Getting out….requires 2 people lol. I can’t push that bike backwards. So going to build the lazy Susan.

Doesn't swivel as neatly as the video shows. Obviously the lighter the bike the easier it is to turn. Mark where the front tire is when it is equally balanced (both directions) so one side is not dragging when you try to turn it. Works ok, not great. My turnaround is just over 8 ft square so the 2X12X8' barely fits. I don't think it would be possible to turn the bike around without it. Just did this this spring so I didn't know how long it will continue to work. The lazy Susan doesn't look all that solid. Actually a bit surprised that it worked.

Thanks for that heads up, I didn’t think of that. I have the full touring bike and I was thinking the bearing is rated for 1k… taking into account removing my fat ass out of the equation, I wondered if this would be sturdy enough. How and where did you have to mount the angle iron?
The angle iron is simply attached to the bottom of the 2×12 on both sides. Reduces the bend.
Since my Harley is considerably heavier, should I - or am I able to - extend the length of the base to support the 2x12? Someone below said the Harley is too heavy. Thanks for the idea and video.
Have you considered adding some caster wheels to the far ends of the main plank?
I messed around with this. Creates a load of resistance when trying to turn while on the bike.

I cant work out how the turntable is still turning when you put it onto the plank and then screwed a load of screws through it?!
After leaving the bike parked on it has the wood sagged more?
Only a mistake.. the materials in the diapositive : 1 table 2x12x8’ framing lumber And 2 tables 1x12x2’ standard pine board.... And consider the sidestand...
The materials listed were as readily purchased/available in my area. I understand that those types of materials may be available/sold in different sizes and lengths. Thank you for the feedback, it is appreciated.

So is your swivel plate 11.25" or is your wood 12" wide? I don't get 12" wide wood here, it is all 11.25" lol.
When he says 2x12, in the US all 2x12’s are actually 1.5” x 11.25”. His would be the same.

Sorry for the late response, haven’t been on here much. I have not had any issues thus far. Though was not used during the winter as I needed to save space. I also have some updates and maybe a improved design that may be posted in the foreseeable future.

I like the fact that you added a platform for the kickstand..... great idea. This video would of been better, if you added instructions while putting this together... slowly. I look to your videos for step by step instructions. The step by step wasn't helpful but the end product works.
