Derrick reminds me of Tarver - body snatcher, tall southpaw. But the difference between the Roy here and the one who fought Tarver is night and day. He was constantly moving and twitching. He shone bright but faded early.

The 25 pound drop from heavyweight did discernible damage to his body. The exact thing I said after Roy took off his robe before the first Tarver fight was, "Roy ain't the same." Anyway, a good rule of thumb is-- Speedsters die at 35.

One of the greatest champions of our time. Not even a heavyweight but stepped up to that division to take on a former champion of that division.........and bet him........with ease. Would have loved a showdown with Evander Holyfield. RJJ would just have been too skilled and too fast for Tyson, but Holyfields courage and determination would have given RJJ a good fight. RJJ is one of those fighters that has to be set aside from all the other competion........like we do with Mayweather..........in a special league of his own

You are suggesting that RJJ beats Tyson because he was too quick for him , are you for real , Tyson had the power to end the guys Career , seriously , considering the very decent but lesser Class , Lou Delvalle could floor him , and the light hitting Glen Johnson , who wasn't known for Power , Ko,ed him , God only knows how he'd have fared V Tyson , especially if he was even 60% . In their Exhibition fight just recently , they fought 8 2 minute Rds , wearing 12 Ounce Gloves , may as well being wearing pillows on their fists , and Tyson still caused him serious problems especially with the body shots . Your not the only Jones fan who thinks he could have beaten Tyson , there's plenty of others and many even think he could have out-pointed Lennox Lewis , a guy who could come in comfortably at 250lbs , had one of the longest reaches in the game and arguably , the best jabs that done serious damage , never mind any of his other shots , he had enough power to Ko Jones with these alone . I would never slag off any Boxer brave enough to step in a Ring and I most certainly wouldn't call anyone a bum or anything like that but John Ruiz is not up there as a Great HW Champion , he was levels below Tyson and Lewis that's for sure , amongst many , many others .

Mark Ant Golovkin can barely handle Jacobs speed and Canelos power had Golovkin honest
Roy is light years faster than Jacobs and has more explosive power than Canelo. Mix that with foot speed, cat like reflexes, and the size Jones got. It’s not a contest.
