Very good review. But since this mic is designed as side-address, you will actually get much better sound by speaking directly into its diaphragm, which is not at the top.

Does it cancel noise around you?
Hello, in my experience I had the PM500 and now have the CM5 (which is the same mic than PM500 but with a couple updates and lighter), since these are condenser microphones, they are more sensitive and capture more sound from the environment than the dynamics. They don't have a noise reduction feature. However, if you use them in cardioid pattern, they capture whatever is from 270º to 90º, I cannot say they capture a conversation outside of the room but if there are kids yelling, they will be recorded, not as loud as your voice, but they will.
In general terms are particularly good mics for the price, I'm impressed with the results. I have used them mainly for video conferences, meetings, random video records, etc. the results vs the laptop mic, camera or smartphone mic are way better.

Yes bruh, but i suggest u use headphones so that there will be audio feedback issues.
