Country is still telling the American story. The stuff I've been listening to lately has been making me cry a lot. I'm sad for us as a people. We are lost.
I have known Tanner for about 8yrs and his older brother Tim for about 11yrs. I watched Tanner at our lake house play Back Roads over and over and over sometimes 8 , 9 times in a back to back. Every time changing it up and getting better and better. Eventually I started booking for Tim and Tanner. I was amazed at what the two of them could do. So, So proud to see Tanner following his dream. Love you Little Brother. Stay Humble it can all be gone with the blink of an eye. No matter how big you get or think you are just remember it can all be gone in a blink of an eye.
Im a music snob. I admit it. This is one of the best written songs (lyrics wise) that ive ever heard. Sung well and played well but damn man, youve got a fan in me now. Great job
Definitely a great tune, but there's some other good ones about heroin. A couple classics obviously are Needle and the Damage Done by Neil Young and of course Carmalita by Warren Zevon. Those ain't too bad. And I've know more people than I can almost count die from heroin, so it's a real subject for me.
Always good to find fresh music and a sound to enjoy. I wonder if your self-described snobbery is holding you back from some incredible creations out there? Any Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, Justin Townes Earle, Tyler Childers, or frankly any of the parade of similar sounding artists to this dude on a myriad of similarly curated UA-cam channels should blow you away lyrically if this is your standard.
Thank you so much for this song. My husband accidentally overdosed Nd passed away in May and I don’t think any other song in the world could sum up how I feel more perfectly than this. I pray no one ever experiences this pain it’s gotten out of control: I miss you Adam Richard xoxo~your wife Ash
This song really resonates with me....I'll have four years clean next month....so glad to be alive. But this song reminds me of where it can take me if I ever pick it up again.
Most people can relate to this song knowing someone struggling with addiction or someone dying from an overdose. Maybe a family member or a friend...great song telling a sad story of our current times!
I sing this song as loud as I can while driving brings me to tears every single time to the point where that my wife and I were gonna name our second child Josephine because we loved the name soo much. But we ended up with 2 boys so won't be using the name but this song has a special place in my heart for the ones I've lost to drugs. You are an amazing song writer and singer I hope nothing but greatness for you man!
I've heard this song on repeat today learning how to sing it. This song is so beautiful in every single way. I'm sorry for the pain you've felt through this, bro. I want thank you so much for sharing something so deep and raw. This song hits in my very soul. Keep creating beautiful music brother. I pray God blesses you in everything you do.
man your songs hit straight to the heart. we need to make you go viral man. your music is genuine and from the heart. keep up the excellent work. I hope you make it to the top man.
I heard this song this weekend at a beach restaurant... Couldn't hear how sad of a song it was but looked it up after cause this damn dude has an amazing raw voice !!! But the lyrics are strong too.
I love your music! This has to be the hardest heart hitter from your album. I hope I never have to witness someone I love overdose😕😞 stay strong brother!
I was shown this song by a buddy and I can't stop listening to it, I'm a die hard Tyler,.Zach and Warren fan but this,.you opened up.another eye for me.your voice sir is amazing your lyrics are so strong and so experienced...
[Verse 1] Her veins, they run like tracks all across her skin She used to be an angel, but she traded that for sin And when she fell from grace she fell far, she fell hard The holes in her soul match the holes in her arms She tells me she loves me, but only when she's high I'd hate to see her go, but couldn't leave her if I tried So I'll just stay here by her side And I'll hold you in my arms so damn tight Wondering to myself, will we make it another night? As you look up at the ceiling with a cold stare in your eyes I can see your fate, and I can see you're losing the fight [Chorus] And oh, my sweet Josephine Oh, how I wish that you could see How you were killin' yourself And how your habits were hurtin' me Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine [Verse 2] We had our whole lives to look forward to But you threw it all away for a needle and a spoon And I know your stone will read "A girl gone too soon" We laid you in the ground today with a calm upon your face I kissed you one last time before he laid you in your grave You were my girl, my girl that slipped away [Chorus] And oh, my sweet Josephine Oh, how I wish that you could see How you were killin' yourself And how your habits were hurtin' me Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine [Bridge] Oh, Josephine Come back to me, Josephine I'm beggin' you please And oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine Oh, how I wish you would have seen That you were killin' yourself Now your habits have killed me Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine [Outro] Oh, Josephine Sweet Josephine
G’day Tanner I’d suggest make it your business to come to Australia and play at the Deni Ute muster. Best you google that.. hard to explain but I’m confident you will understand.
My favorite song to cry to when I think of my wife who is out on the street dealing with her. Drugs and killing herself I will always love you brittany grabarczyk

Glad to see our Texas boys getting some love
Dylan Moffitt I knew it right off the bat. Where's his Texas boy from? DAMN GOOD VOICE.
@@cameronswink6612 That's classified. LOL. 30 miles North of Dallas. A little town that starts with a P. :)
I will get to Texas from australia one day to see this bloke play!
True talent.
Lost my little sister to her addiction 5 years ago. This song, it made me cry 😭 I miss her so much. Beautiful song.
Why is this guy not on every country radio station?
Bc it’s not Nashville, drinkin beer, drivin trucks pop “country”
Cause Morgan Wallen and Kane Brown are more important to them
Because they’d try to ruin him
Im a music snob. I admit it. This is one of the best written songs (lyrics wise) that ive ever heard. Sung well and played well but damn man, youve got a fan in me now. Great job
from one music snob to another. i cant agree more. what a lyricist huh?
Definitely a great tune, but there's some other good ones about heroin. A couple classics obviously are Needle and the Damage Done by Neil Young and of course Carmalita by Warren Zevon. Wholeheartedly agree. Impressive for anyone - given his age, it's exciting to imagine what's in store.

Damn bro you got me in the feels. Definitely know how you feel
Moving song.
So Underrated
[Verse 1]
Her veins, they run like tracks all across her skin
She used to be an angel, but she traded that for sin
And when she fell from grace she fell far, she fell hard
The holes in her soul match the holes in her arms
She tells me she loves me, but only when she's high
I'd hate to see her go, but couldn't leave her if I tried
So I'll just stay here by her side
And I'll hold you in my arms so damn tight
Wondering to myself, will we make it another night?
As you look up at the ceiling with a cold stare in your eyes
I can see your fate, and I can see you're losing the fight
[Chorus]
And oh, my sweet Josephine
Oh, how I wish that you could see
How you were killin' yourself
And how your habits were hurtin' me
Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine
[Verse 2]
We had our whole lives to look forward to
But you threw it all away for a needle and a spoon
And I know your stone will read "A girl gone too soon"
We laid you in the ground today with a calm upon your face
I kissed you one last time before he laid you in your grave
You were my girl, my girl that slipped away
[Chorus]
And oh, my sweet Josephine
Oh, how I wish that you could see
How you were killin' yourself
And how your habits were hurtin' me
Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine
[Bridge]
Oh, Josephine
Come back to me, Josephine
I'm beggin' you please
And oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine
Oh, how I wish you would have seen
That you were killin' yourself
Now your habits have killed me
Oh, my sweet, sweet Josephine
[Outro]
Oh, Josephine
Sweet Josephine
Oof this is an amazing song. Hits hard.
