Saved my day! Thanks. Also, its much easier if you ask someone to sit in front while adding the clips at the back. (or use a mirror) then add 2 symmetrically opposite clips at the same time with both hands; making sure there is no lateral movement of the frame.
This video just saved me from pulling my hair out!! Just put together this cabinet and the doors didn't align. Thanks for the tip about the pieces in the back.
Thanks for posting. You helped me make up my mind to get this for an entryway because it's not too deep and seems reasonably easy to assemble. I appreciate the tips on making the doors level. (BTW, I love it that down-voters apparently don't know that UA-cam counts up and down votes the same in its algorithm, lol.)
I already assembled and the doors are uneven :(( How do I remove the black pins pieces from the back? They are really jammed in. Thanks for your video.
look at 8:59, i use the provided plastic anchors. But i managed to get 2 x 3"construction screws (my own) into 2 studs as well that is holding it up in the air. I wouldnt trust just having all the cabinets and at least 80 lbs of stuff inside on plastic anchors. Too much weight as they are floating, not supported on the bottom. If you are right to the floor, then you'll be ok. You can also buy these screw in plastic white anchors that are rated for 30 to 50 lbs each instead of the provided ones, and then screw into those if you really dont have any studs behind. It will hold them up in the air, but be careful how much weight you put inside.
@@UnboxingArmy The black pieces clamp the back panel into place against the frame. This stops the frame from wobbling and causing the door misalignment.
I've bought my fair share of IKEA products over the years (Besta, Lack, sinks, cabinets, etc.) but their quality has only gotten worse over the years. As a matter of fact, the only thing worse than their instructions is their quality. Still, I was interested in this cabinet until I saw this video. Now it looks like they've really hit rock bottom...
We were going crazy trying to figure out what we did to make the doors so uneven. Thank you so much for the tips on how to adjust them!
I had same issue. Ur welcome
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Good job! 👏🏻
Thx
Do you know if you could add legs instead of wall mounting?
Of course as long as it is, leaning against a wall. But because it is so narrow it will be easy to knock down by accident.

They don't align well, just like your teeth. LOL
2:17 why did you have to cut the video at that point. I CAN'T get the top part on.
i had to put camera down cuz it wasnt lining up but if you watch the whole video i do get into it, you have to use some force
Excellent tutorial. Great tips.
Crazy people are still buying this item.

Not sure about the algorithm. But yea great narrow cabinet
I was totally frustrated about why the doors were so crooked. Thanks for sharing your tips!
Youre welcome
Nice video, thanks for all your tips! Planning to get this for my apartment
Glad it was helpful!
I wish that tall variant of Eket came in dark grey. Unfortunately only the white ones do..
Paint it. Chalk paint for $50
The 4th side in 2:14 - I have trouble fitting it in - it won't fit on both sides and the thin back part making it impossible, did it fit fine for you?
No that's why follow my video instructions. That back piece is tricky
I have the same problem. Did you manage to fix the issue?
@@clustinette yes, you need to look very closely on the ones you already connected and see if it was the right order, mine wasn't and it was crutial
@@Zidkiya thanks a lot for your answer; I managed to do it before I see your comment but it's very kind :)
the rails in ikea come in 13" which seems weird we are putting up 2 x 18" cabinets of EKET and not sure if the rails will be right size.
CUT THEM i bumped 2 rails together but i cut one with a 4" grinder
Can you put the cubbies on the middle?
Yes u can do it anyway u choose

Use screwdriver or pliers
Is it paintable?
Does the rail on the wall need to be on a stud?

@@UnboxingArmy where did you get the hanger rail?
@@HienNguyen-gt3oq you have to buy that separate at ikea, yea something they dont tell u unless u ask.
In no way am I disputing what you say about the back pieces affecting the door alignment - but I was wondering - why is that the case?
No clue. Learn from my mistakes :)
@@UnboxingArmy The black pieces clamp the back panel into place against the frame. This stops the frame from wobbling and causing the door misalignment.
The eket is such odd construction, the bottom corner joints just seem so insecure. I'm thinking of gluing the edges during assembly.
I did that exact thing, run a short screw from one cabinet to the next , it will be stronger and remove the little gap between
Problems with last 4th side... You didn't have any
There Was no 4th side on mine. The eket can be different designs.

click things for the rail is a joke, i fkn hate ikea. Broke both my thumbs trying to put them in
I hear you
