Yes Linn was great, BUT I feel sorry that Jenny's part doesn't find much attention and respect. After Linn's traumatizing, shortly before she left AoB, I saw her perform with them in the background of the stage. She looked really bad. You could easily see the horror the incident caused in her, so I feel it has been her best choice to leave. Jenny started out as the singer, made space for Linn, after the incident, she had to fill the gap, always beeing compared to Linn. Not a very comfortable situation, but she made a great job. I think she deserves to be respected and credited for her effort.

@@myself2011 Because a fan broke into her house and threatened her. Since then she has been traumatized and has distanced herself from the group. She didn't feel like singing anymore, she didn't want to be part of the group anymore. And little by little he left the group.
Yes, Jenny is wonderful and great vocalist. It deserves a lot of respect and value for being the main vocal of the group when Linn was no longer interested in singing in the group. Jenny's voice is beautiful and I'm kind of sad to only find comments here just talking about Linn. I know what happened to Linn was something terrible and people are just giving her strength and sending her positivity. But AOB didn't just have a vocalist. And Jenny also deserves to receive this affection.

@@AntonioRBarreto Man you guys really never listen? It wasnt Lynn who was threated it was Jenny and her mom while Lynn was away. I never bought that story. its more believable that Jenny wanted to take the lead and pressured Lynn thats why she left unhappx

I noticed in live performances she just stays at the side hidden in the background and lets Jenny be the pop star and sing (even though Linn does sing most of the songs). She has a talent for singing but I guess her personality couldn't allow her to be demonstrative like Jenny, hence why it's only Jenny who still tours today. But love their music. ❤️

@@greenkitty82 bet the truth is that Jenny always wanted to be lead. funny when jenny twittred before that she didnt want to make music their way after Lynn went out and later she got kicked out by her brother stating that she never was informed about the exchange. im pretty sure that the knife incident was invented to put pressure on lynn and later she found it out leaving disgusted by her own family so she fulfilled her contract and threw some stories. Lynn actually always played well with the cameras knowing how to talk and handle interviewers so its hard to believe that she couldnt handle the star life. just take a look at jennys last interviews she gives a weird impression.
6:10. that shot of Linn is great. She is a person of great mystery but had a beautiful voice and image she portrayed. Miss them..

Because she said at one point She could merely sing. She didn't want to be a singer and eventually grew so disenchanted with fame she left the band. She didn't enjoy it.
And she made the other band members swear they will never ask her to rejoin ever again

@@ciara313245 She could sing perfectly but all the attention she got after they got famous was totally strange and terrifying for her and it was many times she didn't even want to go up and sing but did anyway. So she was miserably many times but did it anyway.
I liked the original sound more, they added complexity and lost personality in the sound. On the latest songs you can't tell it is Ace of Base.

A crazed German woman stormed their house and held Jenny and their Mum at knifepoint( I think Jenny got stabbed in the hands), demanding to see and speak to Linn
She was eventually arrested and warned never to set foot in sweden(she'll be arrested if caught trying to enter the country)
Jenny deserves all the credit for putting the burden of performing on her back after Linn left. And the guys deserve the credit of being the genesis and driving force behind the music in the first place. However, to point out the obvious, it is NOT the same band without Linn. Two talented and beautiful female singers are better than one. There are a lot of bands with attractive female leads, ONE. There are very few with TWO.

Поэтому и Ace of Base и полюбили за образ и голос Линн , и Йенни жаба давила что не первая и что к Линн бегут за автографами ....

She’s not hideous, don’t get me wrong but hardly anything above cute. Definitely not a bad thing but to say she’s hot would be equal to saying anyone who is cute is hot; to which it greatly takes away from actual hot people. They are few and far between. There wouldn’t be anything special about hot girls.

Gary Grinn Nobody knows anything. She is intensely private, almost like a recluse. Jonas has said he sees her from time to time but I think with what's happened in her life she desires just a quiet, peaceful life.

I still whoever that person is that made Linn leave, we could have enjoyed so much more of the four of them if not for that incident.
To be honest, even without that incident, she would have still probably left, sooner or later. All of the fame and things associated with being a public figure became too much for her.

+Gary Garyn There have been many theories about this, and more than one may be true, but the most basic reasons are that Linn had never wanted to become this famous, never really wanted to be a lead singer at all, and after several years she grew weary of doing something that she didn't want to do. She had to stick around in the background for years more because of contractual obligations with the record companies (which is what we're seeing here), or else she would have left much sooner.
I think it was mostly fun for Linn to be a pop star at first, but ultimately it was not who she was. Seeing that her pop star idols were all drug addicts and why, and then a crazy fan going after her family with a knife (that really happened in 1994) sped up the process, but I think she was always going to quit this job early anyway. She is an introvert and prefers to live a private life. Some people become addicted to fame and gain energy from appearing in public to be adored, but for Linn this drained her energy over time until she had no more to give. She is very grounded and even modest, so she does not need or want all of this attention and praise. She really did all of this for her family (Jenny and Jonas) to begin with, and all of them having made their fortunes, it was time for her to live her own life.
You know so much about Linn, as if you yourself Linn ... Thank you!
What an irony of fate. The girl who was born to sing and be ahead, because she has all for it: the appearance and the voice and manners, wants go away in shadow.

Nice to see her take the spotlight here because she loves to sing, and deserves more credit. I hope Ulf, Jonas, and Jenny get back together and find another woman that sounds like Linn and get back together and recreate that unique AOB sound.
