Jenny deserve so much respect and praise for carrying the band after Lin backed out. I love her personality and I really enjoyed the change. Both of them are strong singers but it takes a lot to take on all the pressure of being a lead and shine with it regardless of the difficulties it may bring. So respect to Jenny I love you girl! ❤️
It would be nice to see Jenny, Ulf, and Jonas back together making music in studio maybe with a woman who sounds like Linn to get that unique AOB sound. Maybe even a virtual tour like ABBA with Linn in the studio singing with the group, so she doesn't have to do all that crazy touring and press conference chaos.
My God ! It feels like being in your 20's then, wake-up in your 40's. Stress will do that to a person. You know, when your conscience tells you that, money isn't everything and creation becomes a burden, its time to review what is the most important thing for yourself. We all need a stable rhythm. It is one of the few bands that, brings a ray of light through the clouds. Thank you for the happy years and be well.
Jonas, Ulf, Linn and Jenny. I don't know if you will read my comment but I'd like to thank you for making my 90's and begining of the 2000's happier by listening to your songs. My best memories from that time have to do with something regarded to your songs. Thank you for your music! 😘

The world wouldn't assume that this band had such musicality and complications around them. But assumptions are always based on...well assumptions! I think they were 4 grounded people who coped very well with their sudden fame. Hearing their back catalog and work load it is astonishing to think they aren't held in a more credible light. Doesn't matter though...many people out there admire them & I am one of them. As a song writer and producer I take my hat of ace of base. All 4 of them:)
At the time they were famous we didn't have internet. It's been quite good to watch these documentaries now that I am more mature (as a music listener too), because there is no doubt this is not a studio band, or a manufactured success, or a pop product, they're rock solid in every aspect, even considering the apparent simplicity of their first songs.
..apparent simplicity is the most difficult simplicity.
love of Ace of Base my fav band! First heard it back in 1993 when I was 11.
I loved the docu. Now I like the band even more.

Jenny looks like she has been working her ass off. She wants to be out in front and is doing what she needs to in order to get better. Linn is beautiful and has a distinctive voice but does not have the desire or personality for that life. I am happy for both of them for doing what makes them happy and not what everyone else wants. Isn't that what a true artist does - follow their hearts?
You’re right, but for a fan Linn out of the stages is so sad! A 2022 tour with all members would be something amazing.

I've always wondered how the clueless western critics would make comparisons between these guys and ABBA LOL This was a great documentary. I don't particularly like 90's music but Ace of Base are the one exception - their sound is unique. I have all of the albums and remember very well going through my four years in college listening to it. Even today when I am having a bad day just putting on "Never gonna say I'm sorry" will cheer me up. That's the power of great music. Miss you guys!
In part because they (J and U) swore no allegiance to one genre til death do them part. They reserved the right to indulge whatever styling they pleased.

for many years,,,there are so many calmer jobs without stress..

She started feeling stressed and pressure because of being the main focus of the band as lead singer at the beginning so she swapped places with Jenny and took a more back seat position. She left the band 2007. Love your icon pic b.t.w

Ace of Base has died for me after 1995+... Terrible songs like Beautiful Life, Lucky Love or Cruel Summer made me forget about the band. However, their initial work (and also a lot from the Hidden Gems) are jewels of the dance music, that will never be forgotten
