Thank you ❤️ that means a lot and that's actually how I feel about reading everyone's lovely comments. That I don't have a good response but am happier after reading them 🙂❤️
You have the patience I wish I had more of,lol. Ms. Magpie took her time since she was enjoying your company with a special treat now and again. Too funny how the chickens are crowded at the door wanting to come and hang with you too, lol. Thanks Ms. Doolittle for sharing.🐧🐔💕👍
Mrs. Magpie is the ideal birb roommate. She has an excellent credit score and past nesting history, and she catches 3 times the amount of bugs required for her monthly rent. Plus, she's the best motivational gym buddy.
Poor Mrs Magpie. And that's not something I'd normally say at all! Maggies are usually more than capable of being the scarier bird in any face-off, but a gaggle of chooks is something to be extremely wary of getting on the wrong side of.
I have a problem too. I'm not even awake, but my birdies are asking me to feed them. So there I am, half dressed, chasing around willwagtails and honeyeaters. Smh, I can't resist the m
Have you thought of changing your door to a split barn door type? Then you could leave the lower half closed while the magpies and kookas exit, or would the chickens learn so quickly that making such a change would not be worth the effort?
No offence, but this was hilarious. I wasn't sure she'd actually go outside at all since she initially did & them team back inside. Glad she finally made her way back out, I'm guessing you'll are too. 😁🦅💝
A great video as always. How long did it take you get Mrs Magpie to leave the house? Will she come back now that you've given her some food and will she bring her children or friends? Keep the vids coming as they are great and as always a BIG thumbs👍 up.
Surprised the chickens didn't just rush in, mine if you opened the door a crack would immediately shove their body through, for some reason they were obsessed with getting in.
Oh thanks! ❤ Umm at the moment my deadlift is 2x bodyweight and bench is slightly over 1x bodyweight. And I started learning the olympic lifts this year as well so can currently clean and jerk slightly over 1x bodyweight, and my goal for the next 6 months is to snatch 1x bodyweight. How about yourself? Do you lift?
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia I keep forgetting they're a thing over your way! I meant bird visitors, seems every other bird that drops by really doesn't like being around them.
@@relwaretep that's a good question. I think most are scared of the chooks. Although I have definitely seen lorikeets successfully scare off our guinea fowls which is brilliant to watch! The smallest bird in the yard taking on the biggest bird in the yard.

Hi. I have a question for you since you're very fluent with birds. We have a few beautiful magpies in our garden and after searching online I found that the one should not feed them mince but they are OK to be fed dog food. Are you able to recommend what type and/or brand of dog food would be safe for them and whether to soak them or give it to them whole? Many thanks. My intention is just to gain their trust rather than become their source of food. Just the odd bit of food to make friends with them.

Magpie: "You're trying to throw me out of my home?"
🤣
reminds me of MABO, you know? it's the VIBE!
Mrs. Magpie is like, "Hi! Just came by for a quick visit, but I'll need a little help getting past the scary chicken gang so I can get home...😅"
i don't have a good comment, I'm just happier after watching this video and I wanted you to know that

This was a cheerful kind of chaos!😅😊
Now the Chookies are laying seige to the house - I did warn you, lol. Chookies - "Today the house, tomorrow the world!".

"Magpies". No Magpies in reality. Just for information 😅

That would be perfect!
Ah yes I share this dilemma at times with a small gang of fearless urban pigeons. I don't own the place so I've got to keep my associations hush hush.
Adorable
Aww poor mrs magpie too scared to out. So previous.
I love your wild birds.
Running the Gauntlet!
Do you have peanuts in the shell? We don't have Magpies here but that's how I coax my American Crow friends to follow me :)
Magpie wanted a go at the gym equipment.
I think Magpie has skipped leg day. 😂

You just have to adopt her.
"I don't think my fully extended wings will fit through there - have to walk through."
Haha
Chooks said it's unfair magpies and kooks are allowed inside and no one is allowed to cross the picket line.
that's her house now
Hahaha, Magpies are the best. They do everything like bosses. Very mischievous bosses…
Some think it’s the magpie being evicted but I think it’s actually the way around 😅

Mrs Magpie was too chicken to get out but with a little help from her friend ...
Maggie wants to be your gym buddy 👌🏻👌🏻
I love your videos. Maybe next time she could fake out the chickens and go out a window.
"I live here now." 😑
I don't get why she's so worried about the chicken, surely she could just fly right over them if she wanted to?
Yeah exactly!
Australian Magpies.
