Thank you for posting. I'm on a 6-day regiment and this medication has worked for me almost immediately! I have a lumbar injury in my back of course and sciatica pain is off the scale! And my only options were surgery or epidural or physical therapy. But my doctor decided to do a less evasive treatment by putting me on the prescription and it's worked So far amazing for me with no side effects. I personally only plan on being it for short-term which is this six pack that I have..
My body is not set up to take man made meds. I am 47 my meds are holistic. If I have to take man made it is baby doses. I have a 4m pk . I am willing to try a half or 1 pill instead of 2 . to start. I will see how my body interacts with it. If it's got me running around looking like a crack head .To the trash with it. It is no good when medicine cause more problems than what it's supposed to be helping.
I took this and went back to the doctors and my blood pressure was 200/102 now my chest hurt’s. My pack said or I could take as a single dose 😢😢😢I was taking it for L4-L5 disc bulge
I just got prescribed this medication I don’t like taking any type of medication but my left lung has been giving me some unwanted problems. My question is do we have to finish the whole entire 6 day pack?
Possible side effects of this thing are nightmarish: Glaucoma cause of increased intraocular pressure, Cataracts , osteoporosis , decreased bone density, manifestations of latent Diabetes. Other side effects are: thinning of skin, stretch marks, elevated blood sugar, elevated cholesterol, peptic ulcers (!!) , growth suppression, muscle wasting. It can lead to swelling of the fingers, hands, feet, or lower legs (after long term swelling skin just peels off...trust me it's scary I thought I will lose my legs). And on top of that it lowers testosterone level ... It can lead to erectile dysfunction.
My goodness!! So why the hell is it prescribed?? I'm taking it now because of ear inflammation but after this I never want to take it again, too many side effects!!
@@mssoulsister2186 when I asked about iv infusions only one doctor said that they check how much I recieve per year. Apperently there is limit or something. In any case side effects are just scary.
Hello I was prescribed this medication today for a swollen wrist ( it’s like a cyst) it’s not painful, I had sprained my wrist month ago, the sprained healed but it’s looks like a swollen Almost a lump like at my inner right corner wrist of my right hand. Have being having doubt taking this medication because I don’t have any more pain I’m just worried about the inflamed area which is not too big, please do you have any other suggestions or recommendations
Hi Naomie, this medication should definitely help with inflammation and reduce the swelling as prescribed. It’s not necessarily used as a pain medication, it’s more of an anti inflammation steroid drug , so if you are still having inflammation in your swollen wrist area, it should help.
It's probably caused by a hit to your hand. A cyst from the trauma or not but they go away by themselves usually. I wouldn't take it because it's leaches calcium from your bones. It makes my bones hurt the last time I took a dose pack. Fyi
I was given an iv of 125mg of methylprednisolone (solu-medrol) two months ago in the ER for an allergic reaction that gave me rashes and it gave me a rare case of extensor tendonitis on top of both feet. Even tho it got better it’s still here and more mild but now my right tibia is aching/cramps/contractions. It’s already two months and still my feet have not improved 100% smh. Sometimes my neck gets stiff. This thing is hell and garbage. I do not recommend corticosteroids like methylprednisolone, prednisone or prednisolone to anyone unless it’s a emergency or something extremely serious and urgent.
My mom takes this medication but the side effects are brutal but it works really help her is there something to take help like her tongues breaks out and stomach pain
Hi @maritza, please make sure she is taking it with food, it’s very important that she takes it even with a small meal rather than an empty stomach to avoid stomach pain.
Yes mam, the common side effects may apply as the main active ingredient is still methylprednisone. However, since it’s a short period of time, the likelihood of the serious side effect is low.
HI, ma'am. I begin experiencing some hair loss around the perimeter of my scalp and I was prescribed medrol. Is this the right prescription (I dont want it to cause more problems)?
Can you specify exact period means for short term and long term (like in the how many days)??... My doc suggested this medication for alopecia, 20dos (1 per day)... And i have recently had leaser eye treatment (LASIC), so i was worried about side effects.
Hi.. did you find out about the timing? I got prescribed one box of methylprednisonlone 4mg per 6 dias for psoriasis and I was wondering this is a short period? Or long?
Hi Mr. Syed, usually withdrawal symptoms may happen if your body is not able to tolerate the lowering of the dose. I would recommend visiting your doctor to pinpoint if these withdrawal symptoms are due to change in dosage or if you have an underlying condition that may be triggering those symptoms.
is face flushing a common side effect of taking this medication? And is this medication even supposed to be prescribed for sinus/allergies? Please answer me 🙁
Hi Sandy, flushing may be a common short term side effect of Medrol. It is beneficial for sinus/allergies due to its benefit in decreasing inflammation in the body. I hope this helps. Thanks. Please don’t forget to support us by subscribing to our channel.

@@sandyramirez2964 hello, I have mentioned the possible side effects in this video based on the research studies performed in the patients treated with this medication. There shouldn’t be a severe lingering side effects once the medication is cleared from the body. However, if you have a pre-existing medical condition, you can discuss it further with your healthcare provider or book a consultation with our pharmacist at www.demirxcare.com for a more tailored response. Thanks.
Hi Devraj, this medication is a steroid so it could possible be used in preventing eczema, if the provider believes the eczema is allergy related or if there are signs of skin inflammation. However, It is not directly marketed for eczema but it is approved for skin inflammation. Sorry for the late response. Thanks.
Hello, the withdrawal side effect of medrol does include joint or muscle pain. Did you have two days worth of pills left or just two pills from the last day of use ? If it is just two pills , there is a lesser chance that the pain is a form of withdrawal side effect. If you are still having an arthritic pain, I will consider informing your physician so you could be prescribed a NSAID ( non steroidal anti inflammatory drug) like ibuprofen or diclofenac. You may also consult with us at www.demirxcare.com. We are affiliated with prescriber that could help with this.
