Thanks for always sharing these fantastic videos with us Ruth. I've learned a lot from them. After so many multiday hikes, I've come to the realization that we as humans worry a lot about things we don't need when going on multiday hikes. For my Otter hike and any other 5-day multiday hike which doesn't require a tent, my backpack stays at 9kg and I'm always happy. 😊 Happy hiking 🎉🙌🏾
Thanks for the comment! 9kg is great! I am going to be working on shedding even more weight from my pack, as we need to carry much more water during our upcoming Fish River hike next year in May. Looking forward to it!

Think my pack came to 19kg with filled water bladder when I weighed at the start. Less is more. Definitely going lighter next time
