It's incredible how the ground fog over grass looks so convincingly like clouds over trees. Makes our flat little country feel like a huge hilly forest.

Once in high school I got an assignment to make "an advertisement for the sunset" as part of writing class. Most of my schoolmates thought it was ridiculous and didn't put any effort into it, but I loved the idea, and scrambled to do something cool. Unfortunately I didn't have many resources, no cameras and no one to help me... But I had a trial license of After Effects. So I learned just enough to make a semi-abstract rendition of a sunset over the sea, dropped Summer by Vivaldi as the soundtrack, and wrote something that focused on selling *that feeling*, that warm and melancholic feeling of watching the sunset. It came out quite... I don't know... But when I showed it to the class everyone went silent for a few minutes.

This video felt like an adventure story, with a narrative hook, a challenge to overcome, and a satisfying end. Not only are you a good videographer, you made such a great story out of it
You can see beauty in a way that few can. It's unbelievable. One of a kind. The shot of a ship at 5:24 is one of the greatest shots I've ever seen, anywhere, of anything. Magnificent!!!

It's so cool watching the edge of the sun appear to boil and evaporate due to the atmospheric lensing.
This speaks to me in a way I didn't know I needed. A hobby that no one would search for, that would likely never be a career but only the oddly, beautifully specific passion of one person. One that would motivate countless early mornings, heavy cameras, treks to any vantage point that might organize the foreground elements in a way that is pleasing to the sun.
And this is one of many on the channel. From explorations of segmented and VFD displays to hifi audio, this channel conveys a realization that life isn't just about finding a thing you're good at and making a career of it. I never understand people taking pictures of the sunset with their phone camera, I think this incredible telephoto is what they are hoping to capture.

The most beautiful frustration I've ever seen
Best sunsets/sunrises I've seen in my life was in the UAE. The sky seemed so big when you'd go out of Dubai/Abu Dhabi.
As a night shift worked sometimes I would stop my car after work just to see the massive sun coming up in the distance.

Our planet is so beautiful. I'm grateful to live in a time where it's still possible to see such breathtaking displays, and in such a time and place where there are people with the talent and determination to collect this footage, compose the shots so wonderfully, edit them together, and pair it with phenomenal sound design and narrative, where there is technology that allows me to see it from the other side of the world, and where I am well-off enough to get to see it.
