Thank you very much indeed for this class, excellent, really - today, first time Camel was possible for me with the feet pointed/flat on the mat, my ankles didn't accept my weight when straightened, so far, but with leading us up to the Asana, it made sense all of a sudden, I could lift & backbend fully, wasn't difficult, as no meaningful & well organised movement is really. You are a teaching wonder, that's a fact! ❤️🙏🏻
Aww that’s so great to read. I find camel so very uncomfortable in my low back. I figure some postures just fit with some bodies, and others don’t. My torso is long…. It’s a long way down to reach my feet efficiently. I’m so glad with a few warm up camels, you found your expression of it. ❤️🙏

I used to prop my feet up on their toes, nears the heel for a foot's length closer to hand then of course, but your lesson enabled me to leave my feet flat out. This Ashtanga-way to backbend until you reach the upturned heels/floor, makes no sense kinaesthetically/functional anatomically, in particular because of the atructure of the lumbar spine. The functional way is to sit on your heels, touch the heels (as in Hare) & lift the pelvis , similar to Fish or the like, much easier for the vertebrae to understand, & you determine how far you go.
@@TwoBirdsYoga Your didactics know all that, of course, otherwise your lessons wouldn't be so meaningfully structure, the way you go from one part to the next. Your teaching has a massive strata of Feldenkrais in it, always said so!
