Michael Jackson was about 50 years old when this was filmed. My parents totally marveled at how Jackson was able to physically keep up with the other dancers who are all about half his age.
My first concert at 14 y.o. was the Doobie Brothers in '74 with an opening band and Earth Wind & Fire in between. I saw Paul McCartney in the late 80's when Linda was in the Band (RIP), this Concert would have been the icing on the cake. RIP MJ, You were and always will be "The King of Pop" and a National Treasure.

He was pretty thin here. He was struggling, despite him pretending he was well. I watched an interesting documentary on his final days and he had allegedly not slept at all for weeks. His sleep was all messed up and the fact he was using Propofol had done irreversible damage to his nervous system and brain chemistry. I dont think he would have been able to do all of those shows either with the shape he was in.
The sad thing is he was dying during these rehearsals. His body was wasting away. He was terribly thin and frail. It was as if he stopped eating for days. I think there was a lot more going on with his health than was disclosed. There is no way he should have been medically cleared to do this tour. He was definitely seriously ill and needed time to get healthy and regain his strength.
