A few days later I knew their was a PS2 copy of Rayman 3, the full game for €20 in a gameshop in the town my sister was on school. I asked my sister to buy that game for me. I gave her the money. When I came home from school my sister had bad news: Rayman 3 was sold out! I was disappointed and lost my interest in Rayman 3. A few years later I bought a Rayman 10th Anniversary triple game pack for the Sony PS2. And in 2017, on a Retro Games Convention, I bought the Nintendo Gamecube version!!!! At 2:26:01, When I was very little, I struggled to get out of that room. I don't know how it was with you, but I couldn't find the exit door to the level. I collected all the crowns and I thought I had completed it, but I was trapped in that room. I remember feeling sad and desperate. Thought even that game glitched for me. It took me several years before I understood the meaning of this part. Because on the ground I see the reflection of a door. But I didn't know it was an invisible door, hidden inside the wall, because I wasn't smart (or old) enough to realize that I could just jump through the wall, rather, jump through nothing! But, I didn't notice this when I was a kid. I felt stupid after that. But after that, I finally managed to finish the game
21:14 that's need clever usage. Don't collect the gems on the scaffolding (Skaff-my last name) until you've become super where the 2x multiplier is. 57:47 save that guy, he's going to activate the bonus from the green gem-you'd get 2x1500 and 3000 more for the bonus alone. 1:35:34 you can get a big 2x1500 bonus if you collect the gem right before the last shot. 2:15:10 don't crush them, glitch your way up to them, 1 shot them if you can, and go down the secret room while the combo still exists. 2:37:37 get the blue power up first, that will quadruple the score. 3:12:54 HEY! I bothered to collect the black lums and I got 90%, what the heck! 3:15:57 you can jump to latch on the platform, and come back with the blue power for a bunch of extras.
Thank you very much. I watched your walk with great pleasure. It was exciting, especially during a fun board. I took this video to my computer. The magic game of my childhood! Good that it is!
1:08:17 wow this combo ! I cannot include the Matuvu in the combo and I cannot maintain the multiplier by two until the end of the combo, I do not understand why but GG!
What an incredible walkthrough. You really are a master of this game. I'm coming back to this video every day or so and I'm following level by level, working towards the 100% achievement for Xbox. Thanks for the guide!.
2:27:47 Since I played Rayman 2 first, I got excited seeing old characters and I was hoping Ly would show up. I mean, Murphy was there, Globox was there, the Teensies were there, so Ly would make a cameo right? Well, she gets a statue in her honor at least. It's still one of my favorite spots/cameos in the game. I'm sure she's busy taking care of fairy business.
I got to the 1.5h mark a lot of times playing this game over the years. I remember the early levels so well, thinking I had gotten a fair bit into the game, but now I realise I wasn't even close to being halfway through the game at the furthest point. It's a longer game than I thought, but then again it always took me way longer to get to your 1.5h mark, like an entire day for me.
This Video made me to revive my Ps2 from dust and install it to my tv after that i went to my storage to find my old games and there it was Rayman 3. Thanks to this video I felt the joy of my childhood again.
Little Me: Thought the game finished after you visit the second Teensie Doctor (who knows why) Adult Me: HAVING MY MIND COMPLETELY BLOWN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! 😱
Some notes as I play through and try to get the "Perfection needs no arms" achievement (will update as I go if applicable): - Not sure if this is a different version or what (I'm playing on the 360) but half the time my combo window doesn't last as long as the ones in this video, so I can't get anywhere near as good a score as shown in most of these levels; doesn't matter for 100% in many cases though - It's much much much easier to get a 2x multiplier on the green gem at 27:21 using the green powerup can from the lower level; in fact I've NEVER gotten it to work with the red can - When you're controlling the boss machine (41:22), it can only turn to the right (?!??), so go in a clockwise pattern - The level starting at 1:14:13 is pretty tight... just make sure you're getting the x2 multiplier as much as you can, even if you have to backtrack (including the green gem, the yellow cans run out fast) - Level at 2:11:22 is extremely tight for the score so it's important to pick up a gem before killing enemies as much as possible (including the first guy once his shield is down and at least one of the mini-bosses). Particularly since the combo done in the video near the beginning of this level doesn't work on the 360 (not enough time to get the red gem). I also found it much easier to get the second green gem instead of trying the combo on the stilt enemies (second green gem appears if you kill the stilt and flying enemies before opening the second cage). - Combo at 2:15:35: I had to do this completely differently than in the video, grabbing the green gem nearly last. Not sure how you got 100% with just a 5,650 combo (mine was well above 7,000) - Boss at 3:09:57 - If you get unlucky and the flying enemies kill each other (incredibly annoying as there's not too much you can do about it), just restart the level; you need to get the 100 combo on all the enemy waves here to get the 100%
Aaa! All of these years I didn't know you were supposed to sneak up on those floaty leaf-thingies. And I somehow figured out myself that you had to zoom on the spider-thingies. I remember at a point of the game that I got to 23:58 and thought that I won the game somehow without getting clear instructions. Then later I managed to figure out that you were supposed to spam one button (probably from two) to progress. Then I guess there was a pause at 32:00 because controlling the rocket was a bit difficult. At 34:37 there also was a pause because I didn't know what to do and I guess I was a bit too scared to get forward. But I finally figured out. Then later on there was like a pause that lasted like a few years or so at 39:50 because I was too afraid to give the boss a second try. So I was mostly replaying the game until I got to that part, went a bit to the point where the small cutscene would start and then the theme song would play, while it was playing I was hanging out in the cave with Globox. I remember taking screenshots of myself jumping and shooting at one point. Recently I decided to play the game again but this time the HD version on Xbox 360. Might take a while until I get to play it again and get further. I remember getting much further into the game (probably the PC version) when I was older one time but I don't remember what point. So yeah, that boss is like the end of my "main nostalgia-moment".
I forgot how crazy the lines were in this game: “Bug off fairy Zelda needs you.” “Maybe you should call it quits and head for the Spider-Man 2 audition.” “Globox get me something to drink or else i’ll suck up your intestines like an oversized piece of spaghetti.”
Thanks! your video helped to reach 100% in each phase. It doesn't show you how to get all the Green Gems, because in the Desert one of the gems only appears if you kill the enemies first before saving Tensie. But, it's an excellent video.
I love so much the game ost, they give the game an unforgettable vibes that burn forever your memory and give you a nostalgic feeling whenever you heard them again.

But, recenty, I bought a Rayman 3 copy for my Nintendo Gamecube and I began to play it again. Now, I have all the Murphy's logos, I completed the full game twice and I only have to play the minigames and complete them to have my game finally completed This is one of the BEST 3D Videogames I have ever played. No kidding. What underrated videogame. The music, the levels, the gameplay... I played Rayman 2 too, the Nintendo DS version, and I really think Rayman 3 is one of the best 3D Platforms Games I have ever experienced. Rayman 2 is good but in my opinion, Rayman 3 is GREAT ! This game is barely known and, crap, what a good moments I had with it. Long live to Rayman ! I hope one day we will see him again in a 3D Platform Videogame

Gosh I wish they kept making Rayman games... at this point Ubisoft should sell Rayman to another company if they won’t do anything with the franchise. A new Rayman game on CONSOLES not PHONES would be great, 2D or 3D (Tho honestly I would love a Rayman 4 with similar gameplay as Rayman 3.) Creator of Rayman recently quit so the series is more than likely dead. Rayman COULD OF been as popular as Mario Sonic and Kirby if they kept making games...

ikr
The sound and art style of this game are so nice
This & Kingdom Hearts 2 - MY LOVED GAMES!
Anyone else notice that at 18:42 you can see the U.S.S enterprise at the top left?
This is probably the most nostalgic thing for me, my favorite game too lol
I will forever love the rayman games
1:45:28 "invincible"
Hoodlum with bombs:
"Hold my bombs"
That hoodlum is called "Hoodboom"
Thank you very much. I watched your walk with great pleasure. It was exciting, especially during a fun board. I took this video to my computer. The magic game of my childhood! Good that it is!
1:08:17 wow this combo ! I cannot include the Matuvu in the combo and I cannot maintain the multiplier by two until the end of the combo, I do not understand why but GG!
What an incredible walkthrough. You really are a master of this game. I'm coming back to this video every day or so and I'm following level by level, working towards the 100% achievement for Xbox. Thanks for the guide!.
Have you unlocked it yet?
2:27:47 Since I played Rayman 2 first, I got excited seeing old characters and I was hoping Ly would show up. I mean, Murphy was there, Globox was there, the Teensies were there, so Ly would make a cameo right?
Well, she gets a statue in her honor at least. It's still one of my favorite spots/cameos in the game.
I'm sure she's busy taking care of fairy business.
Rayman 2 characters cameo
I got to the 1.5h mark a lot of times playing this game over the years. I remember the early levels so well, thinking I had gotten a fair bit into the game, but now I realise I wasn't even close to being halfway through the game at the furthest point. It's a longer game than I thought, but then again it always took me way longer to get to your 1.5h mark, like an entire day for me.
SAME HERE!
I swear I always thought the part at 1:40:00 was the ending or something lol
2:23:30 this part gives me anxiety just watching it..aaahhh!
1:46:25 THIS particular enemy is so badly crawed into my head that i still see nightmares about it
This Video made me to revive my Ps2 from dust and install it to my tv after that i went to my storage to find my old games and there it was Rayman 3. Thanks to this video I felt the joy of my childhood again.
Little Me: Thought the game finished after you visit the second Teensie Doctor (who knows why)
Adult Me: HAVING MY MIND COMPLETELY BLOWN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! 😱
Some notes as I play through and try to get the "Perfection needs no arms" achievement (will update as I go if applicable):
- Not sure if this is a different version or what (I'm playing on the 360) but half the time my combo window doesn't last as long as the ones in this video, so I can't get anywhere near as good a score as shown in most of these levels; doesn't matter for 100% in many cases though
- It's much much much easier to get a 2x multiplier on the green gem at 27:21 using the green powerup can from the lower level; in fact I've NEVER gotten it to work with the red can
- When you're controlling the boss machine (41:22), it can only turn to the right (?!??), so go in a clockwise pattern
- The level starting at 1:14:13 is pretty tight... just make sure you're getting the x2 multiplier as much as you can, even if you have to backtrack (including the green gem, the yellow cans run out fast)
- Level at 2:11:22 is extremely tight for the score so it's important to pick up a gem before killing enemies as much as possible (including the first guy once his shield is down and at least one of the mini-bosses).
Not sure how you got 100% with just a 5,650 combo (mine was well above 7,000)
- Boss at 3:09:57 - If you get unlucky and the flying enemies kill each other (incredibly annoying as there's not too much you can do about it), just restart the level; you need to get the 100 combo on all the enemy waves here to get the 100%
Happy 19th Anniversary to Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc!
3:42:25 ah hello there, old childhood nightmares.
Loving this :) only ever managed all cages as a kid so I'm shocked at how many secrets this game hid from me.
"Yay. I need to go alphabetize my sausages"
This line is etched into my memory for no particular reason.
My childhood in a video ❤️😭
I hope you having a great weekend just want to thank you for taking the time to put in the awesome work you're the best man you deserve the best
1:44:02 wtf is that hoodlum :D
I forgot how crazy the lines were in this game: “Bug off fairy Zelda needs you.”
“Maybe you should call it quits and head for the Spider-Man 2 audition.”
“Globox get me something to drink or else i’ll suck up your intestines like an oversized piece of spaghetti.”
Anybody watching this is 2019? Man, this was my youth. This, and Rayman M and Rayman 2...
I never played rayman 2 but rayman m and this😍
Rayman 2 and AOE1 were the games of my childhood.
Thanks! your video helped to reach 100% in each phase. It doesn't show you how to get all the Green Gems, because in the Desert one of the gems only appears if you kill the enemies first before saving Tensie. But, it's an excellent video.
Nostalgia factor... thanks for making this vid man I could never truly get 100%...
I love so much the game ost, they give the game an unforgettable vibes that burn forever your memory and give you a nostalgic feeling whenever you heard them again.
Bought this game for €10 on ps3, completed it 4times in 2 weeks, still not bored of it. Just simply love this gamr. Great sound effects make this game un replaceable
For some reason i always loved Hoodlum Headquarters when i was younger Clearleaf Forest is also a personal favourite the whole game it just sooo good still ❤❤❤ childhood memories
I had this videogame when I was a 13 years old teenager for my PC, but I was too young to play and with the keyboard and my lower playing skills, I never completed The Longest Shortcut, I couldn't play the next levels at that time. But, recenty, I bought a Rayman 3 copy for my Nintendo Gamecube and I began to play it again. Now, I have all the Murphy's logos, I completed the full game twice and I only have to play the minigames and complete them to have my game finally completed
This is one of the BEST 3D Videogames I have ever played.
1:14:04 was a level that was featured in a disc from the Kelogg's cereal way back then.. I still remember the visuals of the level and the soundtrack for the boss fight, almost 20 years later :D
3:38:26 the "flying" level
18:17 "surfing on rainbows" level
that witch at 49:00 was so scary to me, I remember having nightmares because of her
3:30:31 for some reason this secret glitched on my game, the statue rotated but the green gem stayed on the other side, rip
See you in Rayman 4
2:45:51 triggers me so hard
The music hits harder than my moms wooden spoon
I remember this game getting a lot of criticism when it first came out but it will forever remain one my most favourite games of all time! ...still waiting for Rayman 4....
Who did that. WHO THE FUCK DID THAT.
I'm gonna kill them. You can't dare talk shit about this game.
What’s the song on 16:46 ???
