Lex is a fantastic commentator. Nice to have a pro calling the hands.
Lex has a small dong confirmed!
He always puts me to sleep
lovely sleep provider
Lex's top notch professional knowledge, and his respect for these world class players, really works well for the Triton videos.
I think Lex could become one of the big poker commentators.
But in terms of overall play, he’s not too much of a cut above.
Depends what your definition of pro is.
He doesn’t earn reliably enough in winnings to justify the title pro. I.e he’s an intelligent enough guy to earn more being an accountant or a lawyer.
But he makes a fair bit off streaming.
Similar to a lot of the streamers.
Most of them don’t profit that much from their cashes or in cash games overall.
But they make good money from their viewership.
Jamie staples.
Egption poker. Etc.
They’re entertaining. Can teach tournament noobs how to play spots.
But they don’t earn enough from play to be considered professionals in of themselves. They’re not making 80k a year from the games.
They’re making 80k + a year from viewers. And they’re usually doing just a bit better than break even on games each month.
Plus they don’t study enough to be hardcore pros.
Because they’re too busy streaming.
That small percentage who are pros study like 2-5 hours per day.
Just game study.
If Lex or some of the other streamers put in those hours they could be those hardcore pros.
But they make a good income streaming. Playing 8 tournaments at once. Which nets them more opportunities for good content.
I remember when I first started watching those streamers UA-cam videos.
And I thought, “Jesus Christ” these guys run deep and often final table almost everyday. They just be swimming in it.
Then you realise they play about 8 tournaments a day, and often rebuy a few of them.
You find out they need that final table to break even or come out a little ahead on the day.
They’re far from bad. But they are not as good as they want you to believe.
Amazed that Tom Dwan stood up and walked away...thought he was chained to the floor?!
Lex is an awesome commentator. Perfect amount of pro level analysis, while letting the play breathe.
yeah because he actually knows what he is talking about... this should be standard
The good old days of casino chips gliding through your fingers
Man, you said it!
best poker show every, hands down -- huge stakes, bold plays, and great chatter+commentary
didn't think I was gonna ever find a better show after Gabe Kaplan and AJ Benza left HSP
really nostalgic for those old times
benchpress200 This is the worst poker show I’ve ever seen.
@@jimmysmithjrjr why are you here then? Gtfo
micheal angelo wow ? Wtf :Dd tell me beter one then PLEASE!
nah. no characters at the table kills it. poker after dark was way better. at least with Tony G this show had life.
Not a huge fan of PAD to be honest.
First, it's mostly tournaments. Second, the commentary does makes a difference -- Lex and Gabe gave really interesting insights on what the players might be thinking, while Ali only announces what I can see for myself.
Shanghai Wang slowrolls Tom Dwan twice, and laughs at his face 😂😂
tom has bad lack the whole game, no decent hands whole night
Tom gets absolutely OWNED in this series LOL
That's because he's playing people who don't care about money because it's not theirs,no risk for them
@@angrycanadian566 People play on TV because he worked their butt off to get to that level, son. Don't belittle their competence to justify your incompetence, son.
I watch all the episodes. Dwan only receive garbage.
Elton better give the masseuse a decent tip! That's a 3 episode massage!
I wouldn't worry about it
true thattttt
he gave her the tip, but it wasn't filmed
yeah but i bet they get more than massages sometimes off camera. i actually saw an invite to a private high stakes game in Gangnam, South Korea, that said "sexual services available (might have been "provided" actually)" ...Asians, as a general thing, don't see nothin' wrong with it..I'm sure when Dwan is over there he has a very, very nice setup...
@@compteofficiel4112 Lol it's not only an Asian stuff, there's prostitution everywhere. By the way the woman who made it to Elton looks more than a top massage girl than a prostitute to me.
I wish there were subtitles. Would be nice to know what they’re talking about.

I've watched about 5 of these and have yet to see Dwon win a single hand lolol
Got to play a hand before he can lose a hand...

He wins with AK in this episode
Tom Dwan is outclass here
Paul Phua : "So we either give u good hands or good coke, ur choice?
Tom : "Gimme my 37 off suit and shut up!"

A Beast. He is feared, that's why his bluffs work. Tom Dwan doesn't have as lucky hands as Tan Xuan, nor is Tom feared as much --> his bluff in the last hand pretty much showed this sentiment.

all wrapped up in one
"Some sick Mandarin there by Tim Dwon" lol
People ripping on Dwan which is fair enough do you but if you have watched every episode of this game you can't deny he has been so card dead its unreal then when he has anything playable he just bricks every flop its been pretty sick tbh. His play at the end was trash though, clearly angry so just forced it in a bad spot.. not a good look but Wai Kin is a complete beast though.
I've watched every episode and he definitely has been card dead. However it's kinda pathetic for a pro to get that easily tilted about a few hours of not getting cards. Not even like he got coolered or anything.
Don't agree about the last hand. The river was a good card for Tom to bluff on. The call from Wai Kin was insane. I'm not ashamed to say I would probably fold third pair to this shove when the flush and some straights get there.
@@bennyzhitomirsky2076 ya. it was just unlucky wai kin had two black 7s there to call. those 7s were a better calling hand than a hand like A8 with no club.
Brzy so when you think about the range of cards Tom might be having, a pocket 7 does block quite a great proportion of value betting. It pretty much blocked the possibility of a straight and moreover it’s a club. If you think about the range of cards tom’s playing the winning cards are Ace high suited, ace 8 with either ace or 8 club, suited big suited connections. The pocket seven increases the probability of winning dramatically.
Lots of poker pros in the comments
I like this old school poker rules 💪💪
Right as I’m watching a Poker Vlog!
What A Call At The End Lol ... Dwan Cant Hang With These Guys... These Guys Play Just Like Him But He Doesnt Have It In Him Anymore...
I like how Tan Xuan says: "AK" instead of ace king
This is very common in Asian casinos
Tom Dwan doesn't have the bankroll for this game. He no longer plays like he used too.
It's amazing how one's game changes throughout the years. Not speaking directly at Tom's game, but speaking in general. 10 years will change your game.
this should be on netflix.
Poor Tom. Stuck in a room with triad members and getting more into debt. No end in sight...

Yong: I'm definitely trust you
Tan: Now I believe you are the best in this table, how come you afraid us?
Yong: You are the most famous pro
Qiang: The most famous fish
24:50
Liang(talk to Tan): If turn I shove, how dare you to call?
Tan: It depends how you play, if you flop raise me, I definitely shove you
Yong: It wouldn't raise you on the flop
Liang: I doubt you're bluffing, I could call you flop and float you on the turn, couldn't I?
36:11
Tan: What the fuck, you got the AK and you still call the turn?(Elton didn't show his hand to know)
37:00
Tan(talk to ESTI): I'm allin, didn't you hear it?
ESTI: Don't bullshit, put all your chips out

They're discussing playing Omaha
XX: Liang, do you know how play Omaha?
Liang: I do, if you guys stay, I sleep a while and go for it.
XX: Sleep a while? how long is it? two hours?
Liang: What level that you guys play? 30k/60k Omaha?
Tan: No, it's 500/1k only
Elton: It's fine for me with 500/1k, either 30k/60k
(all people laughing)
ESTI: As long as it's reasonable, I'm okay with that
Elton: If this is a small game, there's no any feeling
Tan: He plays at Macau StarWorld for a long time
Tom he doesnt truly know why he lose this game can say many other reason but important one thing..i can see hes future ..
19:00 those cards thrown over a mountain lol
Elton taking that grandma discount special massage it seems.
Watching the poker vids, training the game all while listening to music that makes me sharp and able to achieve. I like Delta Parole, AFi, etc as music, what you guys listen to focus I am curious?
If I lose that many in FAKE POKER STARS chips I'll pop one in my head...
Lmao
Just make sure you pop a fake one in your head.
Liang is very good at making value with good hands, and he plays mostly good hands so that’s why he is making money, but of course he ran pretty good. But Tan Xuan and Elton are still better overall players with good bluffs and good folds. ESTI and Wang Qiang are just big on bluffing and trapping so they have to ran really good to profit.
Yas!!!! Just what I needed!!!
Yu Liang is the pro at this table!!!
He river call at the end. Tony G would have screamed the casino off on how he's the best.
More content very good
Commentator is great
Next level poker they should name it "Giant Stakes Poker"
is Tony G going to come later?
i think he would need more russian opponents to Play there;)
He played the Triton SHR cash game in London. The episodes are on youtube. Tbh a more entertaining game than this.
Shanghai Wang has the best nickname in poker history hahaha
Literally means shanghai king in mandarin...i'm guessing kingpin? hahahaha
Love Lex
i miss tony g
poor dwan, really wish he got that bluff at the end
lex veldhuis excellent commentator
Where is episode 5?
Quarantine poker gold.
Where can I find more Xan Tuan Videos, best player I seen I learn so much watching where he is looking at during the hand.
Ikr, started watchin these triton vids w/ the 1st being the Montenegro NLHE & I gotta say that Tan's style of play is definitely somethin.. Great reads & most importantly, he's very consistent albeit he was abit short on luck that session nevertheless he shines.
Yea he got good demeanor at the table too.
Playing with the Chinese is a whole different ball game. They are gamblers, play wider range of hands. Dwan’s got nothing on them man. He looks like those tight beginner players on this table
These are the best types of people to play with. If Tom just nitted it up and played the nuts he would make so much.
sean aujila no they are not. if you watch the series its incredible to see their spots and timing. might be feeling like they play like people throwing around money but they play the game incredibly well. they have enough skill to see you only playing the nuts
Flo I totally agree with you man. This is how poker should be played. Or if you will “the new school poker”
@@floolo1 I've watched every episode and not just of this series but of almost all of the triton cash games. The thing is though these guys simply play too wide of ranges preflop. I'm not saying that they are horrible, but they are definitely exploitable and they are there to gamble not necessarily win.
@@floolo1 you said it. These guys are amazing. Different styles, but al beasts.
Great content 👍🏻
I heard so much about Tom Dwan.
good game tom
Poor dwan got crushed :/
Elton should not complain, he'll be having the smoothest neck.
Tom dwan needs to go play 200/400. He'll clean up there.
He probably has no choice, he owes them millions xD
sick call xD
People talking shit about Tom Dwan.. Did you miss his nice bluff w 7 2 on the big blind?
OMG, its not Tom Dwan, its Tom Down
Can you have Jungle finish the Durrr challenge on your channel
