This is kind of a pointless fact because of how widespread it's become, but that depiction of the Wendigo is completely fabricated by Hollywood. Older depictions of people possessed by Wendigo are basically skinny zombies (a distinctive feature is that they've chewed off their own lips), and when the true Wendigo itself is described with a physical form it's usually somewhere in-between a yeti and ogres/trolls. There is a similar folklore creature from further north called the Wechuge that actually fits the more mainstream "deer" Wendigo a lot more but I've never seen it used in anything.

While we're recommending cowboy stuff, add in Weird West and Evil West (completely unrelated from different studios but somehow the exact same thematically) This goes for anyone reading this comment too, play these games. They're fairly recent but went under the radar.
@@TheSunkenShipWreck It isn't the same universe, but they'd be interchangeable. Evil West has less magic/spirituality and takes place in the "real world" instead of using fictional place names. Weird West is an ARPG with physics sim elements and open ended mission objectives. Evil West is a linear action game and the story is a simplistic "underdog saves the world" thing.
