Thanks Zane been looking for these types.. I have a question about traction waveform 12.5 free is there a way if my computer dies I can keep everything I have done? Can you make a video on backing up everything. I got a new computer put the account in but everything was gone had to start from scratch. Luckily I still have my old iMac with everything still on. But it's doing funny things with the screen from time to time and I'm scared of losing everything. Merry Xmas and love your channel. Thanks for freebies.
On your computer, not in Tracktion waveform, you can copy a project folder and paste it onto a usb drive or another hard drive. You can easily load those projects into waveform on any computer that the other drive is connected to by clicking on the project file or using the load feature in Waveform. I always recommend recording onto a drive that isn’t your main computer drive so if your computer crashes or you change computers, you can still have access to your projects. I’ll see if I can find some time in the next few days to make a quick video on moving project folders and reopening them.
@@AudioTechTV mate your a legend I have 220 songs to save and I'm worried I lose it all. Started last year using a computer and found you which got me on to traction waveform. I down loaded 13 but it keeps crashing so I went back to 12.5 and scared if I delete 13 I lose all. Merry Xmas legend I will get my mate onto your channel to.
Thanks for all the links, Zane... Everything is great! Well, except for the TH2, which crashes Cakewalk when it loads, but you can't win them all, especially when they're free! :)
I’ve always had trouble with Acustica stuff, and it usually starts at their clunky downloader lol. Reaper - isn’t that the DAW where you have to program everything yourself? Or am I thinking of a different one? The UI is all stripped down and uninviting and yeah you can get it to do cool stuff like sidechain anything you want but you need to do a ton of setup to make that happen. Idk I might be thinking of a different DAW, but personally when I fire up my music software I want to make music, not practice software design and troubleshooting. I tried downloading it three different times, on two different computers, and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get the darn thing to produce any frequencies above 2kHz. And I literally write software professionally. Admittedly basic software, but still. Personally I use Ableton. Fast, easy, open UI, great tools built in, very stable. Changing from Cakewalk to Ableton felt extremely easy and natural for me personally.
Next check out the Waves Studioverse Starter Pack that you can start with for free here ua-cam.com/video/jAYEaCbosZg/v-deo.html
Thanks for another great roundup of freebies and for all your content in 2024.
