- This is a ridiculous idea. Why am I doing this?
Well, the real question is, why not?
In this semi-fictitious video, the Men In Black (M.I.B.) have mysteriously confiscated my entire designer fragrance collection except for 8, that I will be expected to wear for the rest of my life. You see? Crazy. They've chosen two fragrances per season; one for casual scenarios, and one for classier ones. How they'd do? Let's find out!

I respect your list. For summer I like to have a scent that is fresh and reminiscent of a beach or a blue fragrance in general, and you would see that on a lot of other channels out there, but your choices are true to you which makes it more authentic.
I have 4 of the 8 mentioned. Terre Hermes Parfume, One million Lucky, TF Noir Extreme and D'Argent . Thanks for the list. Btw this is 4 out of 180 bottles. Btw, MIB hasn't wiped my memory yet. 😁

Well I would keep from my current collection (causaul & classy): Summer: Eau Givree & Terre D'Hermes EDT, Fall: Vintage & Kenzo Homme EDP, Winter: Bucherron & Ebene Fume, Spring: Ralph Lauren Blue EDP & Chanel Egoiste. Love your choices though I don't have any, but idid smell them. Only exceptions are 1 Million and Dior 2020.
That's a nice list. I like these exercise. Though it'll be easier for me because I only have 24 designer fragrances (sounds weird saying 'only' cause that's a lot, but anywho).

I know there's a lot of Chanel, Dior, and Tom Ford. It's because even though 11 designers are represented in my collection, half are from those three brands. Now, some of this might change depending on one's thoughts on whether certain Guerlain fragrances are niche or designer, but I didn't want to make a list with those and start a whole debate.

@@mrxdu681 My favorites are Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Extreme (my personal favorite Guerlain in my collection) followed by L'Homme Ideal EDP. Those are both best used in fall and winter. Guerlain L'Homme L'Homme Ideal Platine Prive is a very nice warm and hot weather fragrance..

I had a decant of PR 1M Lucky.. loved the scent.. but even on discounters (FragNet) still went for $115 can for a 50ml... before even finishing this vid I found it at Walmart for $82 can shipping and taxes in... and ordered it!... shop around people! Discounters are not ALWAYS the best deal 😉

Solid list Justin, but I have to say Eau Givree has superceded Terre Hermes Parfum. Parfun is still solid, but that EG is a game changer! Just my opinion 😊

This was a fun way to do a list, with the whole MiB angle instead of just saying “here’s what I’d choose” :) brings a little life and interest into it.
If I may offer some constructive feedback, I’d say to lean into the “shtick” even more next time. We know it’s just a fun way to present a video idea, so go all in on it and have fun! I guess the parts that take me out of it as a viewer are when you kinda distance yourself from the concept like at 0:13 and 0:41.
Anyways that’s just my 2 cents, still enjoy your content so keep doing you! Stay fresh brother

Do you seriously like Pasha de Cartier Parfum!?! To be honest, I just don’t understand it. Does your beloved bride like it too? You see, I bought it about 2 years ago thinking that I could wear it and enjoy it. I sprayed it on briefly and had to scrub it off. It smells “old man” like to me. I feel like I might need encouragement to try to give it a full wearing for a few days, but I am not sure I am brave enough…your thoughts?

How do you actually use your parfums? Or get your own signature parfume? I do have 20 designer perfumes… all handpicked to my liking… no gift or casual pick-up, I also have 10 niche ones… I can not even pick from te niche ones anymore which I generally favor, let alone all the designer ones. Now I do not even have a bond with a specific perfume anymore (Maybe baccarat rouge 540). Because of this loss of bonding many days I just dont put any 🤷♂️ Thats a shame. So with so many fragances how do you manage? You got 99% of your collection that you dont touch?
I wear something different everyday, and I enjoy doing that. I don’t like signature scents! But everyone is different.

It might be redundant
The Tom Fords are almost cheating ;) they are among the most niche-like fragrances among designers after all. Among Tom Fords I'd probably choose some others instead though: Tobacco Vanille, Black Orchid EDP, Beau de Jour.
Among the other six, I'd particularly second Hermes TDH Parfum, Hermes Voyage Parfum, and Pasha de Cartier Parfum.
To this day I have not been able to smell YSL L'Homme Ultime, so can't say anything about it.
But I'd certainly think of maaaaany alternatives way before ever considering 1 Million Lucky or specially DH 2020 if only picking eight fragrances. This list not exhaustive, but for sure I'd consider these plus many others before ever thinking of those two:
- Dior Fahrenheit, Dior Homme Intense, Dior Homme Parfum, Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, Dior Homme Cologne, Dior Sauvage Elixir (or Lattafa Asad,) even Dior Sauvage EDT in fact

Ngl im gonna save you the money..maybe. I did own it cause it gets recommended so very often in almost every list - i don't know why tho. It just stinks. It smells like lipstick and other makeup stuff (thats why all women love it so much btw. i couldn't even think of the smell it were women pointing it out for me) for me personally it just stinks and would never ever wear it.
I like DH 2020.
I also enjoy DH 2021 sport

I think the main reasons why it’s so polarising is:
1. It replaced the original, which upset a lot of people.
2. By Dior’s standards, it is very “safe”.
On scent alone though, it smells nice, and very mass pleasing. Tonnes of ISO E Super, a very woodsy scent. Just imagine something very very woodsy and that’s basically what you get.
If it had been released by another brand, I think it would have been much better received. On smell alone, I think most people will probably like it. 👍🏻
@@Roecky I tried the FOMO Gary's Den recently, which is a DHP clone. It had an unintended side effect when I wore it. The effect was like Cialis and Viagra. It lasted until I showered the scent off my body.
Recently I tried Lattafa Khamra. My friend and I both wore it to the gym to lift some iron. We discovered that we both were able to do reps and the higher weight without much effort, fatigue, and catching our breath.
I'd like to think it was a placebo effect but now I am not so sure. Further wearing and testing will be required. YMMV.
@@Oshianis I have both FOMO Gary's Den and DHP. It is the most complex scent profile and DNA I have ever smelt. I am looking at acquiring a jumbo bottle of DHI next. I will probably look at getting DH 2020 in future. There is no Iris in it, I believe. Although, it is divisive amongst Dior fans.
