  • At the 2020 NAMM Show, we talked with Ethan Jin, who gave us a quick demo of the new Rhythmo Beatbox, a DIY cardboard box drum machine.
The Rhythmo Beatbox is a DIY kit that you assemble yourself - sort of like an IKEA drum machine. It costs about $140 and takes about an hour to put together.

THIS is probably one of the most creative tools introduced at NAMM. Pretty. Freakin'. Awesome.

You know what I mean make a box that don't have the mini buttons but we can plug up our own MIDI controller that would be dope because most of us have midi controllers

Can I use it as a MIDI controller for a MIDI hardware synth without hooking it to anything else? I want to combine with a Roland keyboard to control its drum sounds.

Can this be treated as an mpc? Like, can someone use it to chop a sample?

@@nerviswr3kstudio659 I was responding to the mpc part. You can chop samples with any midi controller in a daw but can’t use it alone
