- At the 2020 NAMM Show, we talked with Ethan Jin, who gave us a quick demo of the new Rhythmo Beatbox, a DIY cardboard box drum machine.
The Rhythmo Beatbox is a DIY kit that you assemble yourself - sort of like an IKEA drum machine. It costs about $140 and takes about an hour to put together.

THIS is probably one of the most creative tools introduced at NAMM. Pretty. Freakin'. Awesome.
You know what I mean make a box that don't have the mini buttons but we can plug up our own MIDI controller that would be dope because most of us have midi controllers
Got everything needed man
Can you guys make one so we can just plug our MIDI controller to it
this video sold me in 45 seconds
Can I use it as a MIDI controller for a MIDI hardware synth without hooking it to anything else? I want to combine with a Roland keyboard to control its drum sounds.
I’ve just got mine, where is the assembly manual?
Why cardboard though?
Can this be treated as an mpc? Like, can someone use it to chop a sample?
Nope just a midi controller
@@claazy actually you can chop samples
@@nerviswr3kstudio659 I was responding to the mpc part. You can chop samples with any midi controller in a daw but can’t use it alone
