Kane Roberts is back with a new solo album, “The New Normal”, which will be released on January 25, 2019.
Kane has involved some really amazing friends in the making of “The New Normal, including Alice Cooper, Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, Nita Strauss, Babymetal drummer Aoyama Hideki, Kip Winger, Paul Taylor, and Ken Mary. Three years in the making, “The New Normal” melds the old and new in metal for a truly outstanding album.
“My music has evolved over the years, even though I was out of the spotlight. Stepping into this new project, there are new styles and sounds evident, but I haven’t made some false effort to distance myself from the past. People will notice a blend of influences from classic rock and metal to the hot bands that are emerging more recently,” says Roberts.
He continues, “Zeppelin to Volbeat to Arch Enemy…they’re all bringing crushing energy to rock/metal while creating truly awesome music. I was lucky to have found Frontiers because they allowed me three years to make this album and sort through my truest feelings and vocal/guitar skills to create something meaningful to me. There is a real concern for preserving the creative process at Frontiers and to my way of thinking there’s no better place for me right now”

@@deed5811 Funny because I have seen him refer to himself as Metal in a number of interviews and he recalled Rolling Stone referring to him as metal around 1972. One interview in the 80s he was talking about the rebirth of metal music and how his style of music was popular again. I think rarely do artist ever see themselves as one thing. Just look at Alice in Chains, Layne said they were a grunge band and Jerry said they were a Metal band.

It's weird how friendly and respectful people are at gyms, well, REAL gyms not a certain gay corporate gym. I think it's a respect thing...People respect you because you're there working out. I'm not the friendliest person around...I generally detest people, but those walls of hate do me no good at the gym, people break them down, and are friendly to me in spite of myself. I love everything about this song and video. Having three singers with three distinct voices that mesh so well together takes this song to another level. It takes Experience & Talent to pull off such a classic sound! Can’t see too many artists getting down in a Metal format to produce such a intense & provocative theme. People/ Artists can’t afford to take the time or risk, without rewards . Alice & all the artists should be respected for the artistry! Thanks for a Modern Classic w Roots in Traditional Metal! Roberts was the guitarist who played on Alice Cooper's Constrictor and Raise Your Fist and Yell and their respective tours. He is the man responsible for Alice's metal years in the late 1980s as he co-wrote nearly every track from those albums. Just by being on stage, he was a part of the show with his huge physique and rocket shooting guitars.he also appeared on Kiss's Revenge s few other projects and some solo stuff

Everyone saying the video is cringy, maybe so to you. Alice Cooper &is a legend and Kane used to be in his band. 2 iconic it's a first video, I think 🤔 for Kane. It made me want to look more at Alissa White - Gluz, yes Alice Cooper fan that met him & Sheryl in 2012. It's Kane's work, Alice and Sheryl are happy to be in it 💜 give it a chance. Why does it have to have a point? Alice's songs do mostly but look at today's "rock" seriously??!! Damn just enjoy a video /song!

Also Kip Winger was the bassist, I think, age catching up with me lol! Kane also had a guitar in the shape of a AK-47. He's so badass Kane broke the guitar over it his knee like a toothpick. Paul Stanley has his thing where he breaks a guitar and a half by slamming it on the stage Kane just straight-up put it over his knee crack and cracked it and it was done. Alice said that he knew where all the women would be when Kane was touring with him LOL!
