I did my first Full DIY Detail product wash, polish.. APP and 5 year Ceramic on my 2024 Tundra. It went well and looked great but took me 1.5 days. Also of interest there’s a young man on UA-cam from Canada who uses the DIY system. He didn’t have a regular pad washer, he improvised a $17 “balance disc” or “wobble cushion” used in a 5 gallon bucket and I followed suit and it really worked out well cleaning the pads. But I will upgrade with DIY product. Just sharing for those without a pad washer Anyway DIY Detail is a great product line, ease of use and professional results. It was a prodigious task by myself but I felt well equipped to tackle it after a thorough UA-cam education by Mr Yvan & Sir Nick!😁
Those Denali's are definitely huge. I have detailed 2 of those Denali's Dually both brand new and they are big and huge trucks. Always a great watch when I'm editing videos. Nice work as always. I use your advices in my detailing and thank you very much for the decon process of using iron remover and clay pad. Saves a lot of time and product. Thanks a bunch!!!
I recently did a Dodge Ram 3500. Wooeeee. Big truck. I used DIY Iron Remover w/towel, Gold Standard polish, APP, and installed C6 Hydro. Customer was very satisfied with the results.
Can water spot be applied outside in some sun? Maybe in those situation apply, agitate and rinse panel by panel? I’m not sure what happens to WSR if it dries on the surface. Thanks for the great video!
Not really. Kinda a spot no one really thinks about. Just get the best you can with what you got and can do. No real need or reason to get the back side of the cab in that area. I typically go just below the window and the first knuckle down past the edge of the box into the void. Call er a day.
Hey DIY team, what grit sandpaper marks do the wool cut pad and the gold pad remove? I know I've seen it on a but can't find it. I just had to wetsand and coat oxidized headlights since 3 passes of the wool pad couldn't get the customers' desired results, and I had to count on my vague memory of a wool pad removing 1800 or 2000 grit marks, I followed up with the gold and red pads just to maximize chances of removing grit marks. Anyways, I can't tell if I jumped too many steps in sandpaper grit or if my paint towels are trashed again. I have to redo the headlights next week, hoping that the wool pad does remove 2000 grit paper, so I only have to remove the bad microfibers marks, rather than going all the way down to one step above the grit I started with to redo the entire process, taking out more plastic.
I can relate, I have an F350. No platform so a bunch of up the steps, down the steps. Wears me out. "Don't put WSR towel in wash bucket, wring it out." After I rinse towel can it be laundered?
You should make pants and shirts out of microfiber to minimize scratches as you reach over vehicles. But you use safe techniques. Obviously no watches and rings near the paint

Also write down your process on paper. Make an agenda so you and your employees are all on the same page. Also encourage their input because we all have blinders on when detailing. Post the “agenda” in big print on the wall.

Yes, absolutely. No issues if It dries.
Are there any tricks to getting the area between the bed and the cab?

Foam on DIY Detail Incredible Suds, allow to dwell and then rinse.
