- DayStar Christian Centre in Lagos provided one of the brilliant highlights of my first Christmas back home in 27 years with the 2011 Christmas Carol Concert. This segment from the evening riddled me with goose bumps and tears of emotion. Listen to the Talking Drums as they roll in worship to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Proudly Yoruba.
Who's here in 2025 🥺
I can only imagine what it felt like being in that building that day 🥹
The woman leading the songs is a gift. God bless her

The beauty of Christianity is that it can be wonderfully adapted, moulded and indigenised by any who seeks the faith....unlike the rigid and unbending code of Islam, where one can only chant and recite in Arabic.
Please which choir is this? I really enjoy the song. Thank to the person that upload it.
Pleased that you enjoyed it, Olatunde. The choir is with Day Star Christian Center, Ikeja, Nigeria.
That's my dad

This is a medley of many (mostly traditional Yoruba) songs. No single title. Enjoy!

WOW. VERY COMPOSED , NO SOLFA RIOT. VERY NICE BUT what is the conductor jumping up and dancing . you are just here to conduct
Clearly you don't understand the tradition.
what tradition?
When it comes to African music, a conductor is not restricted from dancing, This is not Western music.
D conductor is sumtin else I love him so much
Logo didan
The conductor in a Yoruba-African
Ochestra cannot but get involved because it's not possible not to gyrate with this magnificent percussion which is unique to Western Nigeria.
