- When a dead body drained of blood shows up at the museum and an ancient Mayan goblet is missing, Nick Knight knows that his former master and nemesis, Lacroix, is to blame. Nick is a vampire and it was the evil Lacroix who transformed him centuries ago. The stolen goblet holds the key to releasing Nick from his curse of immortality. He's desperate to get it back, but Lacroix isn't about to give it up. Determined throughout the ages to lure Nick back to the dark side, Lacroix uses the goblet as bait, and a dramatic confrontation between the two vampires ensues.
I've watched this in the 90's , for me it's one of the best vampire movies
Even though I loved Forever Knight, this movie holds a special place in my heart after all these years.
This was the American pilot that was supposed be a series but didn't get picked up . Forever Knight is the Canadian version that aired on Canadian TV that eventually was aired in the States. The pilot/first episode had a lot of similarities in plot with a couple of changes
I love NICK KNIGHT, I even had it on DVD.
My sister bought the DVD of this and I got around to watching it. God it was awsome, at least to me. Then I read that it was supposed to be a series in the 80's but American tv network for some odd ball reason didn't go with it. When the 90's came around it was picked up by the Canadians and the only gender switch that was made was the pathologist. God the stuff from the old days were better.
American tv network didn't go for the series for the same reason no one wanted to pick up Forever Knight after it was finally cancelled-No network or studio, for that matter wanted a vampire/vampires that could have a good chance of being cured and become humans. So many fans of Forever Knight said that a chance for a cure was what made the show unique and special more so than anything they had seen prior to the show or movie, Nick Knight. Studios and networks want to keep making the classic vampire-reanimated corpse that is half or all demon. As good as Catherine Disher was as Natalie Lambert, I do think the series would have been better with a male pathologist at least at the start. The love interest angle was not needed right at the start of the series since that has been the usual thing in vampire shows and movies.
I'm watching this now, for the first time on years. Great movie.
still love this movie and the series. There will never be another series or soundtrack like Forever Knight.
i watched this as a child at my dad's house, next thing you know, I wanted to be like Nick Knight. i actually jump off a few stairs in school pretending I could fly, landed on my feet, no broken bones. amazing what watching tv can do to children.
I would have loved it so much if these two actors had been kept for the leads. I know them both from soap operas and they moved on to bigger and better things.
They offered it to Rick Springfield, but he didn't want to film in Toronto
I was so hoping Rick Springfield would guest star in an episode. In the original pilot movie, his character's real name was Jean Pierre, but in the TV series Nicholas Knight was Nicholas de Brabant. So Rick Springfield could have still played Jean Pierre, but have different other name.
@@Ventrue1830 Oh good. I had heard that they didn't offer it to Rick Springfield and he was angry about that so had never watched the series. I'm glad what I heard was not true and hope he has watched the series and liked it.
I wish someone would upload Joseph Conlan's original score main theme from this...

@The Respected Lex - No. The original score was the lyric-less music composed by Joseph Conlan. The main theme is what was playing over the end credits.
It was forever knight before they changed it
This film was always called Nick Knight. Forever Knight was the later TV show that was originally also going to be called Nick Knight but they changed the name to Forever Knight and it was the Geraint Wyn Davies who thought up the name Forever Knight.
I remember watching this back in 1989 I was in when I was 12 I was in the hospital and
I was into vampires when I was younger and the music is awesome I have been looking for this soundtrack and I can't find it. This wasn't bad. Rick Springfield was great in this. They did a TV series Forever Knight and I have that soundtrack *** Its a good TV movie. I miss the 80s and 90s simple times unlike now I hate the 21st century. Vampires drank blood and they didn't sparkle like that Twlight BS.
I wish the English version of this was on UA-cam I found the Spanish version and well that's a problem for me and the clarity is awful.
It was on Tubi for several months, but I just saw that it has been taken off.
