the end was sad
Goin to watch it tonight for the first time.
Before watching the movie, I underestimated it when people said that they cried. I don’t know why….but I cried at the part where Dr Brand told the truth of the mission on his deathbed..
Interstellar what a brilliant movie... it shows gravity, space time, time dilation with ease.masterpiece
Give me that movie link
also "LOVE" that transcends through time and space.
This is a good list and I can't really argue with any of them.

Thanks for the list man!
This list is perfectly wide, including so many good films, no matter how famous are or how old are they. You are one movie expert!
оооооооо путио как си
I would have put "The Martian" instead of "Wall-e".
It always saddens me how overlooked Sunshine is. I think it’s up there with the great 21st century space movies
I love "mission to mars" and "event horizon" too
I think you had a fantastic choice there. I am a star wars fanatic, but i have to agree, when you consider 2001 was filmed in the 60's, the effects were way ahead of there time.
Great video, I have watched some of the famous, but I have no idea about the others. Will watch them. Thank you!
Thanks for having solaris in this
Came to the comments expecting Interstellar and they delivered. I typically don't watch many movies bc I just don't have the attention span but holy god that movie just blows me away. My favorite movie of all time and I don't expect anything to come close any time soon.
I would suggest that there are three films you missed.
1) Marooned
2) Moon Zero Two
3) Countdown
None of these were particularly splashy, none big budget, but all were exceptionally good and (most important) were about space, not simply set in space....
Marooned was great... on MST3K
The martian was great
How is sunshine not at least a honourable mention. Shocking
Another honourable mention should be Silent Running, Earth's ecology has collapsed and the last remaining plant life is kept in giant geodesic dome's aboard the USS Valley Forge (incidentally that was the name of the aircraft carrier they used as a location) and a number of other giant ships like it.
Interstellar no 1 for great plot... Gravity no 2 for great visual effects...
You missed Armageddon, its a complete thrill.
Nice review, well done!
My Favourite
Interstellar
Gravity
The Martin
Appollo 13
Passenger
Frist Man
Moon
Martian*
You literally spelled 3 of these movie titles wrong..
@@paradigm3638 doesn't matter you know what he meant
Interstellar being 5th is crazy. Easily 1st - 10th & everything else starts at 11
Not, it’s right where it’s supposed to be
Spacewalker should be here somewhere, if only as an honorable mention
MOONFALL is a new favorite of mine.
Nice Video, and Can you make top 10 Cyberpunk films?
Great choices!
Gravity at number 10 is crazy that movie was soo good man this list has to be good then
My favourite is missing - space cowboys.
Space balls 😂
This list is legit
Best of the best so far no question ask is interstellar! Have no competition! And season films Star Wars franchises!
Seems obvious. The greatest movie of all time would also be the greatest sci-fi movie of all time. 2001: A Space Odyssey
@Anon Anon indeed, i'd say interstellar is better in my opinion
I like interstellar better
Nice top, mine would be a bit different:
1. Apollo 13 (its so accurate)
2. 2001 A Space Oddysey
3. Interstellar
4. Sunshine
5. Star Wars
have you watched gravity? I put intersellar at number one and gravity at number 2
Yooo Apollo 13's my top 1 as well.
it's realistic and epic
@@lingling21100 but 2001 a space Odyssey was a masterpiece
@@smolburjkalifa7523 I will watch it
Sunshine is so good!
Wonderful to see Wall-e in the top 10
Only suggestions for honorable mentions would include Star Trek: Wrath of Khan.
A good sequel would be aliens on Earth. Some nominees: The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Day of the Triffids, and Starman to name a few.
Just watched 2001 and currently reading Clarke's earlier drafts of the novel.
Yeah, it deserves #1.
I'm yet to find a space movie that comes close to the awesomness of The Martian.
@konj konjina seen it and didn't like it
@@RBFR01 Bruh that's impossible maybe you have some memory with the martian thats why it's the best for you.
I love The Martian, but there are a few that I like better.
That movie was garbage
I thought that movie was so goofy
1. Apollo 13
2. The Martian
3. Gravity
4. Thor: Ragnarok
5. Sunshine
6. Interstellar
7. First Man
8. Ad Astra
9. Stowaway
10. Armageddon
Included should be George Pal's Destination Moon. Loosely based on a story by Robert A. Heinlein, it was an excellent early example of hard science fiction.
2001.A Space Odyssey 💎
The Passenger 2016 was a good one too.
1. 2001 A Space Odyssey
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. Alien
4. The Martian
5. Guardians Of The Galaxy
6. Dune
7. Interstellar
8. Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan
9. Gravity
10. Ad Astra
Houston, we've had a problem here. Actual quote
very impressed that you weren't too highbrow to not include "star wars". There is simply no way to NOT include that heralded and inspirational series in a list like this if you are honest. But...I've seen it done. Kudos.
Honorable mention: Spaceball. The movies above interstellar have simply been out longer. Give interstellar 20 more years, it will be greatest ever
Salyut 7. Underrated and often missed classic. Similar to Apollo 13 and grittier if anything.
Destination Moon, Contact, This Island Earth, Space Cowboys, Cowboy Beebop
Martian should have been No. 1
Not
A beautiful definition
Martian one of my favorite movie. I watched it minimum four to five time. After searching the best sci-fi movies list.. I found it again and now I'm goanna Watch it again.
The martian ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Greatest of all time
Gagarin: first in space is a great movie, definitely me second favourite space movie just behind Interestellar
Thanks for this recommendation! I was a boy in the 1960s - my imagination was captured by the Apollo programme , and never stopped since!
Ad Astra could be on this. One of my favorite space movies.
Moon 2009 is in 9 th place ? Wow what an underrated movie
The docking scene from Interstellar was🔥😮
i agree
Moonfall 2022
have you guys ever considered Contact (1997)?
One of the best movie ever seen space movie.
@@Rajavardhiniloganathan yeah Man i really love that movie
@@vonivan3559 Great!
"This is space. We're on the beginning of space, we're not yet on the outer space" -Oscar of Armageddon
I saw 2001: A Space Odessy twice, once in a theatre and once on DVD. I've got to say that I've come to the opinion that is a very highly overrated movie.
Watch Capt Marvel, you're gonna enjoy that
I've tried to watch 2001 a space odyssey 3 times, I had to shut it off every time. The Martian with matt damon is a way better film.
I have the same opinion of interstellar.
For me a space Odyssey is pure art
When I was a kid, it did turn me off too. When I got old enough to fully understand all the nuances, it is absolutely one of the greatest movies of all time. Watch it again when you're at least 30. That's my advice to anyone.
I’ve been looking for this one movie I saw back in 2019 I forgot the name but I know it was with these two partners early 20’s that were sort of space agents I guess u could say and they went on these missions through the different galaxy’s falling in love while doing so ik it sounds cheesy but it was a good movie and not how it sounds if anyone could help it would be much appreciated
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets???
Passengers, Prometheus,Alien Covenant,
Plz make a list a top 10 greatest films to not get even a single nomination at Oscars ....
And yeah ,
I have commented on ur last video about top 10 international Western films
I want a movie on planet Neptune or uranus
2001 a space odyssey is soo good
Silent Running needs to be on your list.
How could you ignore the Star Trek franchise?
And even is more sci fi than star wars
@@francisportofk sci fi got ta do w it being a good space movie
Cux Star Trek is piss those aren’t space movies ts is off brand Star Wars it’s so much that happens in those tht dint happen irl ts is straight piss butt
2010 was not bad at all. Wrongly underrated.
I also loved Apollo 18, Ad astra, Space cow boys, The Martian, Mission to Mars, Marooned.
interstellar at 5 is a crime right
Interstellar: i watched it today and it made me think of getting lost in a strange galaxy far away fro home with a robot and future human being eggs.
I love space and space movies and I watched all of them recently Korean movie the moon is crazy
Silent Running and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan would be 2 obvious films for me. I have to say that Gravity is one of my least favourite movies. I remember everyone loving it when it came out but it is so full of over the top stupidity, that it just annoys me.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)?
Interstellar is the best space films for me. It so underrated
Interstellar underrated? Are you living under a rock or something?
@@polaristrans then tell me how can it be not underrated??
@@polaristranstrue , this guy knows nothing 😂😂
@@marrkkkyyyy It isn't underrated at all. It's in every list of top sci-fi films.
@@piyushshukla6016 What's worrying is that 7 people agreed.
So many good ones to list . . . . I would have submitted "Contact" (From a Carl Sagan novel)
Ill always vote contact as the most accurate and best movie ever in terms of our current knowledge and understanding of universe...without telling much that movie told a alot..
Is it worth watching?
@@iiaxshy8238 yes just watched it last night, the last 30 minutes of the movie is where it gets really good.
@@billyb9089 tyysmm
Some one to help me, the name of the space movie in which a man landed on unknown planet and Lost his kid, unfortunately he found an organism like human kind with three fingers. Also on that planet there's fire rainfall
I haven't seen the movie in question, but off the top of my head, I think you might mean the movie "65". It stars Adam Driver
Why passangers and ad astra is not included ?
Passengers!
Intestellar was the best ❤
How in a hill did the Martin isn’t in this list
The Right Stuff, Apollo 13, First Man. Add Contact, HBO's From the Earth to the Moon, and the original The Day the Earth Stood Still. You can keep the others.
Watch-Mojo's favourite word: Titular
Oo my god he live there 23 years it's so interesting
2001年宇宙の旅こそ真のアドベンチャー・宇宙・SF映画
Is it weird that I watched 2001 like
10 times in the course of like 3 weeks
The 5th Element
Prometheus should have been on this list for sure
Not a space movie.
The No 1 movie on this was made in 1965-1968 and the moon landing was in 1969....thanks Mr Kubrick for that movie too 😂
There always has to be one idiot
What about the Apollo footage? Obviously the best.
Interstellar was wonderful knockout story
Missing "Robinson Crusoe on Mars" 1964
No words for interstellar
Y’all gotta check out Stowaway
interstellar is my top
I would suggest Passengers.
Technically all movies are space movies
2001, Of course
Top 1 is interstellar 💘🥺🖐🖐
Interstellar was a great movie bro
And the movie Sunshine then ?
intersteller should be no 1
How's interstellar not number 1 ??
