Aurora Borealis, Tromso Norway September 2015

I was privileged to witness the Aurora Borealis, The Northern Lights several times during my stay in Tromso, Norway. There were a few stand out nights above the rest, where the aurora danced across the sky in all it's formations and multitude of colours. This time-lapse is the culmination of those nights. My favourite quote to describe the aurora is by Austrian explorer Julius von Payer, who said "No pencil can draw it, no colors can paint it, and no words can describe it in all its magnificence". I'll add to this that no photograph, nor video can truly do justice to the awe and euphoric experience of witnessing the lights with the naked eye, it's something that must be seeing to be believed.
