No suggestions for books, but the library is a good way to see if a book is helpful without paying for it. (I borrow a lot of cookbooks and crafting books to see if they’re worth buying.)
This is the most helpful grading series I have come across! Thank you! Also, where could I find the fractions for each point please? (for different types of pattern/block)
Hey..thanks for these digital grading techniques ..i am good at manual pattern making learning on leveling to digital pattern making, however i find it a bit technical on digital grading idk n taking it slow..my question...can i grade manually n trace out the sizes using pen tool like the way you did on tracing pattern blocks digitally? How accurate or not accurate is it going to be!?
Hello, this was super well explained. I have a question though. I made the Matilda jeans in XL and the back fits but the front is wayyyyy too small. Can I grade the front only? I would use the measurements (for example, the 3mm) to go over the XXL as I need to size up a few sizes for the front? Or is it best to size up everything?
hi, I have a question and want to make sure I have understood it correctly. Is it always divided by 4 or depending on how many parts you want to grade? thand you for your help and very great video ❤❤
It always depends on how many seams you have in a garment but for pants I’d suggest to leave the base block and grade that before adding additional seams!

I use 'Grading for the Fashion Industry' by Martin Shoben and Patrick Taylor. It's in English and I can attest to how good it is!

Ahah only quality people post that early !
❤️❤️ thank you!
I’m really interested in this serie, but I struggle to find every equivalent tool as I work with Gimp (which is free)
Maybe somebody else could help you out as I’m not using Gimp!
I use inkscape to follow along with her. It's basically the free equivalent of Adobe Illustrator.
@@scornedclothing5517 Oh thank you, I'll try !
