I have just stumbled upon your mesmerising channel as I wended my way through the streets of UA-cam. Hidden Passage indeed, cloaked in ivy leaves, pert green grass never heralding the tiny footprints that disappear into the secluded depths. Needless to say, this fan of the fairy folk, mysterious paths shielded from prying eyes, other worldly beings inhabiting other realms, has duly subscribed and will fill ones mind with your forays into that which we may not understand for time until I have greedily consumed all of your YouTubian offerings 👏👏👏
That was beautiful and poetic, thank you! I’m glad you found your way here, and it seems you came at just the right time, as there will soon be more to come on that, specifically with regard to passages to the spirit world and sacred space. That is the next foray!
Yes, it seems most cultures shared that sentiment regarding these kinds of beings. However going back further to pre Christian times there was probably more healthy respect rather than fear. Wasn’t until later when we viewed them as harmless and ultimately make believe
Yes, I agree, in polish culture, most of folklore tales survived in literature from time called ( in literature)- Romanticism - authors were gathering all sorts of legends, myths and stories, creating enchanting world of spirit world mingling with humans, never ever, even in most "positive" stories, those creatures were presented as harmless or innocent, quite contrary - seems like their only goal was to trap, trick and destroy unaware humans. Beautiful maidens were luring man in their demise in the woods and lakes, desperate girls were following charming lads into their death in depths of ponds etc... parents were making deal with wicked ones for relief from temporary problems their bargain with their children souls etc, ultimately, nothing about those creatures were ever friendly to human folk and those tales were clear warning
Same here in Wales. We are wary of the tylwyth teg- the fair folk. They are not delicate, ditsy, tutu wearing things sprinkled with pink glitter and wands 😂 more like another otherworld race of beings that deserve and command the utmost respect 👏 It always shocks me when I see hawthorn trees cut down. I saw this the other day, I was in horror! And Holly too 😮
Yes the mixing is off. I made the fairy episodes a while back when I was first learning how to produce. They have gotten better since then. I may go back and remaster someday but I lost some of the project files.
@@TheHiddenPassage8 again good videos I saw all three parts of the fairy videos and will most definitely be watching your other videos because you still earned my sub. Had great content just the soundtrack downed you out like when you where talking about the lesser magic and charms. Whish you success on your channel
This is interesting, but the sound quality of your videos has improved. This vídeo would benefit from being re-recorded with better audio. Removing the crickets and some of the other background noise would be an improvement, too.😊

@@TheHiddenPassage8 I'm thoroughly enjoying meandering along the little story embedded lanes beyond the Hidden Passage entrance 👏👏👏
Me too!
Your podcast has poetry, legend, muse that rise from a box. It is a performance art of creation.

We don't view them as harmless here in Ireland we are wary of them

Pre Christian Ireland they were though to be a race of people that ruled Ireland via conquest and then had to go under ground as a result of conflict

Nice birds. They heal all.
That the Fae are both light and dark is also the nature of humans. We may be related... ?
This was a good video but it would have been a great video if the music/soundtrack didn't drown out the narrator at times

I actually like the sound effects and atmosphere. I have earphones in and it doesn't overwhelm the narration.
