Great episode! The two men that were put ashore as punishment by Pelsart were associated with the worst massacre in Australia’s history after the wreck of the Dutch East Indies ship ‘Batavia’. Batavia’s Graveyard is an excellent and informative publication. 😎🐸
The Batavia shipwreck of the Dutch East India Company was an infamous story - some really bad things were done by some of the crew. The commander of the rescue ship executed the ringleaders and those two guys you mentioned were left on the mainland as punishment, never to be seen again. There are books on the subject but it is a harrowing tale.
Great video. So interesting. Sound is so much better!!! 😀 John's mic works best as his shirt doesn't rub on the mic flapping in the wind. So much better. Thankyou for sharing your trip. ❤️
Ive got a thing for an egg and bacon pie only egg and bacon thats it bloody beautiful 😊 not a ned kelly with mice meat in it , a propper egg and bacon pie is hard to find these days 😢but bloody beautiful when a bakery makes them 😊
You are braver then me I don't think I could go on the skywalk .😢yet on the hill I would be fine , and even love flying but bridges, tall buildings it's a nope from me
The Boer War was fought in South Africa and it is pronounced the same as ‘bore’. Yes Jon is right, 60000 mostly young Australian men died in a senseless WWI where there were no good or bad guys, just a bunch of leaders flexing. All up maybe 15-20 million people died in that war. WWII was quite a different story as there were clear ‘bad guys’ . Pretty sad that us humans still kill one another on an industrial scale for no good reason.
God bless our soldiers 🙏 protecting our country and giving us freedom travelling around in this beautiful country AMEN 🙏
Absolutely. We just wish there was more respect for our soldiers young and old
Thanks, guys, for weathering the heat and wind to show more of WA. I'm really enjoying it!
More to come! Stay tuned. Thank you 😊
