- Hey everyone back with Trailmakers! Today we are mixing it up from the evolution challenge with the highly requested de-evolution challenge! We're going to start with a vehicle that we have all built and each round we must reduce the number of blocks and power that the vehicle has until the very end!

Idea for different evolution rules: 1st and 2nd place keep their vehicles, 3rd place copies the vehicle of 1st place, the reason for this is that when people usually simulate evolution the lowest scoring specimens die while the high scoring ones reproduce.
Another interesting idea might be that the winners get the points, and the loser's vehicle is what everyone uses the next round. That way the competition is more about making a vehicle bad enough that you're confident others won't be able to drive it, but good enough that you still can.

A 0 power core race would be interesting. You could make an evolution by allowing different blocks like pistons, hinges and servos or just allow more total blocks.
I would love this. Especially because they never done these sorts of builds

This comment is extremely late, but i recently-ish found you guys, and been binging lots of multiplayers. particularly like the evolution series's, and on every one i saw, i wanted this style. i would like to see more of this, but its not devolving, its evolving..... evolving for efficiency. animals stuck in a situation with limited food, they evolve smaller or slower so they require less food, etc.
my suggestion: 100 blocks, 10 power core...... each round, no time limit, but very specific rules: remove 10 parts completely, move 10 parts to different places, and replace 10 parts with different parts (or to be easier to follow: delete 20 blocks, move 10 blocks to new places, then add 10 blocks) and have one less power core... if you delete a whole midsection, moving multiple blocks to reconnect front to back is free..... last round is 30 parts, 3 cores (going any less basically ruins whole idea since everything will be basically the same)
this means of changing things makes the changes subtle, changing very little through the rounds, but ramping up differences towards the end

Saw this 2 years late and i as a viewer was happy with the cannon
Suggestion: racing evolution, but you evolve the last place car. Everyone starts with 'x' amount of points and loses a point if they are last place.
Ooooh, this sounds more fun than evolving the winning one.
This viewer really liked the Cannon
Just a clarification: Raw Engines have a low acceleration at the beginning, but as you hold the throttle, it revs up, allowing you to move faster. If you stop for a sec after revving up, you can still continue at a good speed.

Possibly in scrap mechanic as well with limits on engines, thrusters, controllers and bearings - removing one or more each time as well as block count.
kAN what did you study? You seem to have a lot of knowledge on things I find interesting and I'm struggling a lot to choose what to study and stuff :/

Now that you have the "best" with the least amount of blocks, you should do a battle race. Instead of evolution, limiting blocks and engines, but remember that it's a race so more armor means your slower.
might be difficult but a triathlon where in each stage you build a new vehicle, no time limit per stage but being faster just means less time wasted. (and of course the normal limitations like power/blocks)

if he had used the mini thruster instead of the buldawg engine he would have been able to go 90 kph in straights instead of like 50
What ever racing evolution you want, but it goes through 6 evolutions and each person gets to change it twice. You can be trolly and truly try and make the racing vehicle better

Idea: Revenge Evolution Race! Winner gets two points, loser gets the vehicle used in the next generation, and everyone else gets one point. Works with more gamers, too. Why revenge evolution? Because the winner doesn't have to get better quickly.

Any car evo you can change the car to a hover craft from a boat and you have twice the normal time block and cores
