For opening the lid at the bottom, you have to press down and forward at the same time.^^ It can be a bit tricky, but once you do it, it comes off really easy. At least that's the case for my compact.^^
I felt the same when it was announced and once it was here I fell in love with how gorgeous it is. The pics didn't seem to do it justice. Opening the back was a freaking nightmare!!
It's funny that you like that one so much! :) I personally felt kinda underwhelmed by this Proplica (I was really looking forward to it) and it's nice to see that other people enjoy it so much. Especially when you didn't seem to be completely thrilled by other Proplica-releases that I really enjoyed. I wish for the mirror inside they would have just included a BGM for this flickering light, maybe some sad Chibi-Usa-tune without random dialogue. And mine has a tiny little dent on the crystal outside. Nothing major... but still... I really loved the Moon Stick, the Spiral Heart Moon Rod, the Cosmic Heart Compact and the funny Pink Moon Stick. Those are my favorites from this line. I liked the Cutie Moon Rod just fine (I had to import that one to Germany), the Crystal Star is also really neat and the Uranus and Neptune Lip Rods are extremely entertaining, I love the music and the dialogue function is cool - once you figure it out.. XD I was completely disappointed in the Holy Moon Chalice (grail) because of its size and sound quality/volume and the Kaleido Moon Scope is really stunning but the sounds are so lackluster... The attack BGM is stretched longer than it is in the show and the interesting Sound Effects don't match up anymore. And it just lights up in Rainbow Colors in Voice Mode. Really bad decisions made there ^^ And I didn't even get the Tuxedo Mirage Memorial Ornament. Love all your content and I really appreciate your opinions btw! :-)
I have an idea for cosplay: stick a flat, wide, and strong magnet on the back of your brooch, and stick another one on the costume. Then the brooch will stick to the magnet on your costume, and no hassles!
