As someone that graduated from ODU who had friends at Norfolk State and Hampton.....yeah its like night and day. I went to a hell of a lot more NSU and HU games than ODU haha
These young men make being a drum major look so easy and fun but it's actually very hard.. it takes Skills to do this🎉.. look at the swag that they have. Wonderful ❤
These bands are bigger than any school I attended. Putting college bands on my bucket list. Watching is pure joy. Young people doing their thing. Yippee
I enjoy watching the bands March, I was a majorette for 6 years, ending in 1961! We didn't have dancing groups, lordy no, but we had a wonderful color guard at 2 of the high schools I attended, and they were great. But oh how it's changed! My senior class got to March in President Kennedys ignaugural parade, and that was the highlight of my being a majorette all those years!

Parents be proud. You raised your children well. These kids work so hard with energy and dedication. They'll always remember their high school years and be proud of their accomplishments. You go and you rock, Prairie View drumline , drum majors and majorettes!!!!
Wow. Not into marching bands, but this one had my eyes glued to the screen. Everything about this was Excellent. If I was on the other team….I’d be scared. Raw power here; they let you know they are a force to be reckoned with. So very well done ladies and gentlemen!
Really? How are they role models? I am no prude and very sex positive, but for a college marching band I find it a bit weird at how overly suggestive a majority of there movements are so sexually suggestive.

Yes. HBCU bands perform when they exit also, whether back to the band room for a home game on their own campus or back to the bus for an away game. That’s how they do it.

I'm a percussionist, naturally I really like the drum line and they are good. The drum majors and majorettes are awesome. What is missing is the huge band. Nary a note of music, other than playing in the distance, is offered in this clip. Please include all the members marching AND playing.
Apparently you’re not too familiar with HBCU “marching” bands. All the band members are present and included. What is being “offered” in this clip is the marching band “marching” in…in which for the most part they don’t play “nary a note of music” as you are expecting them to play during this time. This is the time to watch and enjoy the band make their grand entrance.

Man that drum corp is tight! I was in the drum corp in HS and College. This Prairie View band overall is well-executed and directed. Hats off to all the students involved in this band , flag corp and dancers!

Battle of the bands. Texas state fair...Grambling and Prairie View. Tickets are sold out every year. I was blessed to see them battle it out. Amazing!
