I like all the repair jobs that come in every day, and all the stuff you work on at a regular basis, like your hobbies and so. I like the non-nonsense / can do attitude of your work and videos. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate your feedback! I’m working on setting up better ways to mount the camera to save time. If I can get that dialed in, I’ll be able to film a lot more of the regular everyday jobs that come in.
I like the job shop type videos. I learn a lot watching how guys set up the work and what work-holding methods experienced machinists use! Happy New year!
Maybe not the kind of feedback you want, but record and post the videos that YOU want to make. I know I do for my channel. It's a bit of a mixture, but most recently, I've been getting into machine rehabing/restoration. My point is, if you're not passionate about the content, the content will suffer. I like all types of machining, fabricating, repair videos, but I also watch farming related content,. They don't have to be super produced with a million camera angles. Just needs to be either entertaining or informative. Anyway, that's my feedback. Make YOUR videos.
Fellow Mainer here! I found your channel a month or so ago, and I am still getting caught up with your content. I feel as though if you put the same passion and love on how to plunge a toilet, as you would on how to restore a 1937 Packard, people won't care what the content is, they will watch it cause of your love and passion. I watch several different kinds of channels, from machining to woodwork to farming to Legos, the content doesn't matter, I watch them cause of the people making them. Their love for what they do is what brings me back to their channel to watch their newest video.
I really enjoy the manual machining, tractor/general/machine tool repair, welding and fabrication, always learn something so I’d like you to video everything that comes in.. but up to you what you have time for. Business comes first I guess, keep it up! Thanks
Its tough. I can’t film the vast majority of stuff because it would eat into my time on the job. Of course I don’t bill customers for any time I’m moving a camera or things like that, so I’m trying to figure out better ways of filming stuff. Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it.
Real content - that is, what you do. Recommendations, hints, lessons learned. When the channel grows and if then the channel becomes more like a production, it won't matter to you if I unsubscribe.
Even if the channel grows, I don’t really want to take it in the “production” kind of direction. I enjoy other shop channels like MrPete222 who has kept things pretty much the same from the beginning.
Hey. I've enjoyed your videos so far. In general, I like videos about the practice of machining. So, how people think about the job. How they approach setup. How the cuts went. That sort of thing. Bonus points if they include failures along with successes.
Would you like to see some longer videos? A lot of times I edit the cuts down or remove some of the setups to keep time down. I was thinking of every once in a while putting a much longer video showing the entire process start to finish, even if its an hour long.
Hey boss have u heard of kj raycing channel? The video i first saw your channel mentioned side by sides. He made crosscart plans. Idk maybe you could make one with his fairly inexpensive plans. Or show how you would improve a part of it, etc.

I’ve been meaning to do videos on setups. Thanks for watching I do appreciate it!
Your channel your choice. I like a bit of a mix. Love to see old machinery repaired. Has always liked and shared. Happy New Year.
Thank you! I appreciate the support.

I think you definitely have a good point. It’s important not to force content. You’ve got to enjoy what you’re filming for sure.

Saw your shop tour video very nice shop
Thank you! I appreciate it. It was a long time coming trying to transition from working for someone else to working from home at my own shop.
I'm here for the machine work and repair...
Thank you! Should be plenty of that in the next year, I’m sure!
Happy holidays.
Same to you!

@@MaineMachinist I might put it on while I work in my shop. I've done that with some of Adam Savage's long build videos
I came here to see you as a machinist
Thank you!
I enjoy watching the machine shop trials and tribulations
Thank you! Looks like everyone is on the same page in the comments so far!
Plus you’re in my birth state and county. Just you are in the southern end and I’m from the northern end.
@@jlibb099 yeah, I was born in Maine, but in Kennebec County. So I’m County Transplant lol

I’m not familiar with that channel but I’ll look into it!
