Doug, I love that you keep things simple. Some of these other videos are way too long and I get bored and it's difficult to get through them. But you're keeping it simple and the knowledge is easily attainable. Keep up the good work. In the future I want to see a couple different variations of equipment set ups. I would like to use my headphones at night and use my two tube amps during the day. The problem is I don't want to create an output 3 before the cab my tube amp. I rather keep it in the output one and use the global copy for the outputs. In global settings when I use my amps I just turned off the speaker simulation and the power section. Then I turned it back on when I was using my headphones. I'm not going to get any time soon but I still want the option to go to the front of the house. Also when I'm using the two amps I'm just going in the back of the returns. Nothing fancy. Down the road I might use the 4 cm on my half stack and go to the back of return on my single 12 combo amp. PS I know you did a video on 13 ways to connect. I'm still confused and I have an FM9 unit.

The headphone output is hardwired to OUT1. Are you using your tube amps in a stereo set up? I'd make a change to your presets so that OUT1 is left just as-is for your headphones, then create a parallel path just before the Amp & Cab blocks so that you bypass them and route that to OUT2. Hope this helps!

Thank you SO MUCH for your explanation. As a new purchaser of the FM9 this REALLY makes it clear to me! I'll definitely be subscribing to your channel.

You're welcome! I think all Fractal owners go thru this at first, so thanks for the idea 👍

But there IS a gap when using channels?! Sure, it's pretty quick but it's still a gap. This is a deal breaker for me for live use during a song. I've been in the Helix world for years and snapshots ARE absolutely gapless. I believe you may be able to do something like this with Fractal, perhaps controllers?

No, there is no gap when switching channels. I had a demo in this video where I switched thru the 4 channels in the Amp block with no gap.

@@DougBsDigitalDen sorry, but that simply isn’t true. That was one of the first things I noticed when I got the FM3. Also Leon specifically mentions it in this video which is the reason for using scene controllers, to avoid the gap. ua-cam.com/video/wjDjlsC5ZW0/v-deo.html
