Small Batch: Sun Bear Tupelo

- Our fan-favorite summertime blend is back in a new iteration! Small Batch: Sun Bear Tupelo features single-origin honey ethically sourced from the ancient wetlands of northern Florida. It is produced directly from the nectar of the white Ogeechee tupelo tree during a short two-week bloom, making it one of the rarest types of honey in the world. Watch our head blender, Jeremy Reeves, as he discusses the origins and development of our latest Small Batch blend, Sun Bear Tupelo - available 07.26.23.
This is a series I make sure to buy a couple of tins of every year. Very cool! :)
The only place I found selling this this year was Country Squire. They sold out in less than 2 hours. Glad I snagged a couple tins.
UA-cam needs to find a way to stream the smell.
@@walkerholiday9631 I guess you could simply order that can and re-watch the video while opening the can and smoking a pipe.
Smoking it right now and its incredible - Subtle mix of flavors that don't overwhelm with a nice light honey sweetness it burns perfectly and is blended really well giving a full mix of flavors - the trick is to smoke it slowly and let the smoke just roll around Very enjoyable smoke - Glad I bought 3 tins .
Love Sun Bear! I look forward to it every year! So glad they made 20,000 tins this year, makes it a little easier for everyone to try.
Jeremy does such a fantastic job explaining the little things in detail, and I love to hear about all that goes into the small things that are easy to look past but are so very important.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you like the blend. Life is in the details and this one is fun to explore for sure!
Always like to hear about the blends. Thanks for providing a quality and affordable product with many options available. The small batches are a lot of fun. Thanks again Jeremy and crew of C&D. We greatly appreciate what y'all do.
Very interesting about the honey!
The original Sun Bear is awesome! This one must be even better!
Video quality looking amazing, great lighting! Can’t wait to try this.
I just ordered some after watching this video. It will be my first taste of the Sun Bear tobacco and I am looking forward to my first bowl.
Thanks for taking the effort to make a good sized batch this year, I managed to snag a few tins. Keep up the great work!!!
Love you, buddy! cheers!
Looking forward to this latest Sun Bear. Hope they blended plenty!
Jeremy hit another homerun with this one. I really enjoyed my pipe of this today.
Great to hear! Thank you for checking it out!
@@jeremyreeves6425 It's definitely my pleasure.
OK...just an update...thanks to your original video...I checked my online vendor on 26 July...10 tin's of a sunbear is coming my way...so thanks for the heads up!!
Thank you for your support! I hope you love the blend.
Got some on the way. Can't wait to try it out. Have loved the past incarnations. Hope to enjoy them for years to come. You're truly a master of your craft Jeremy
Thank you, sir. You're too kind. I hope that you enjoy Tupelo as well. Each iteration of this blend is really special to me, and I think the unique characteristics of this version are quite compelling!
4 tins on the way, it's August 2023 and there's just a few left out there if you can find them
Thanks for the info on this Sun Bear blend J.R, I’m patiently waiting to order
I adore last year's mountain flower. This one was great too. I got a total of 18 tins. I enjoy sun bear all year round.
Awesome! Thank you for the kind words!
Sun Bear is always a treat. Looking forward to this years. Thank you Jeremey and C&D!
Ffs, I might’ve been sucked in…😂
Does sound nice, and the honey backdrop is fascinating
I'll hopefully get a can this year because it just disappears each year. A suggestion, if the high fructose is very good for blending honey locust is the same. Around here there are some dense groves of it and some folks use the honey for canning because of the fructose helping to eat the jelly. Cheers and happy piping
Thanks Jeremy. Looks like an interesting blend. I really enjoy it when you go over the tobaccos. Cheers, Jim
Hi, I've missed out on Sun Bear in the past...maybe I will get lucky and get some in my cart before it sells out. Still C&D has so many nice products to choose from...about to start a Sunday Picnic...even though it's Saturday. Thanks for making unique products and keeping the community excited.
I hope C&D provisioned the website to be able to handle the orders 🤞 looking forwards to this iteration!
Shut up and take my money!
J/k thanks for sharing your passion. Can’t wait to try it.
Super excited!
Hey Jeremy, next year, consider working with some coastal NC purple honey. Just an idea.
thank,you
Gorgeous baccy! Well done chaps. It's very hard to get hold of here in the UK. I've managed to replicate it as a plug (for my own use only). Terrible weather here today. Currently hiding from the memsahib up in the bunker. Carry on.
Great work, boss. What did you put in it? Your knowledge of blending was so impressive when we visited GH, even if their flakes were a little wet.
Thanks mate I try. I won't put too much on here, DM me! I've added a good dose of extra perique to give it some oomph. I'm sure the 9mm filters actually weaken the smoke! Yes, it was a great day up in kendal. I came away loaded with freebies to share with the group. John Howard broke his back axle (the car of course!) he was that laden down with freebies. They were very kind to us that day but I have to agree that their flakes are too wet. Shame you couldn't join us. I'd have enjoyed riding shotgun with you. Terrible weather here mate. Just been watching the satellite images. We're in for more. Hope you get home from work safely. I'm glad I'm retired!
@@Wettonbunker sounds tasty
Sorry Dan I read it wrong.... I didn't realise you actually went. Oh well, hope to see you soon. Sadly I can't make it to the pipe show.
Enjoy, thanks for the support!
Jeremy!! Hey brother, hopefully I can score some this year. Didn't a previous year use honey from Maryland? Either iteration, I'd love to try this blend! Cheers, man 🥂
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear from you. The Black Locust edition had black locust honey from Maryland. Hope you get to try this one!
Nice looking pipe
With a 25% sugar content in the Canadian tobacco , I would assume it ferments well
Showed up in my feed for some reason. I had no clue what it was from the picture . It looked like beef jerky or a tin of wood pieces. I clicked and i'm guessin its pipe tobaccy.
Too bad, that I´m from Germany. That sounds delicious!
what is that pipe model/shape?
Hi there. I'm smoking a Billiard by J Alan. One of my favorite pipes.
@@jeremyreeves6425 thanks :)
Hi Jeremy,
I am interested in a mentorship with you vis, 2024. My employer requires me to take two weeks of paid leave each year for audit purposes.
I usually travel out of the country, but thought; how cool to learn more about one of my hobbies, and supporting a company I love.
If this would be possible/interested, I could come and assist accordingly for 10 days next year.
I could not find an email address on the C&D website, thus me reaching out here.
Let me know if you would be interested, and we could plan accordingly.
V/r,
Brian Nourse
Is there a ‘general email address’ or way to contact you? I could certainly send my resume (20 yrs in Operational Management).
You just cost me a hundred bucks or so. I’ll need to hit the $100 for free shipping so briar Fox, and so on. Loving Folklore daily right now. $ gone and happy to spend it. Again. And again. And again.
I was so looking forward to this blend but I must’ve gotten a bad tin. Nothing good about it.
What about the tequila?
As in previous iterations of Sun Bear, Silver Tequila is part of the recipe.
@jeremyreeves6425 jezza, you're a legend 🙌 keep up the fantastic work
