I just found this WLA for $20 at a consignment store here in Las Vegas and of course had to pick it up! Excellent job…..and yes, one side is oil and the other is fuel!
Greetings Dark Side, that was a absolutely outstanding build and paint finish on the Harley, I especially liked the saddle bags, these kits must be getting on in time now, as i6built the BMW with side care wzy back in the 1970's, again excellent build.
Hey thanks a lot for the video process and the small additions , i just received it and have yet to decide what to do with it , keeping it original like you did or going for a more custom look like "easy modeler's room " channel ( worth a look ) . It's great to see both option , thanks a bunch !
Hi I'm luving the video, I'm also building the same bike but when it comes to building up the rear fender with the rack on back it says to hot rivet it where it joins at the bottom. Is it just as simple as it sounds, heating a flat screwdriver 🪛 and flattening the pin?
Thanks for you comment. If I remember well, I didn’t heat anything. I install the piece classicaly with a lot of patience… To be honest, I am not always follow the instruction when my own methods works well.
There should be a seam separating the 2 sides of the gas tanks. They are 2 different parts. (the one on the right contains the oil, and the one one on the left contains the gasoline).
Hello I was wondering when priming the rubber saddle does it affect the flexiness of the rubber or does it make it stiff as I'm doing the triumph 3hw but not as a military bike so I want to change the colour of the saddle the knee guards on the tank an the rubber on the saddle bags
It depends (I think) of the type of paint you use. I had no problem with acrylic paint without thinner. I don’t know what happen with other type of primer or paint but (I think again) due to the agressivity of the product like enamel thinner, alcool of equivalent, the rubber will not like it.
I just purchased this model and have watched this outstanding video several times. Can you tell me what brand of paint you are using? Excellent workmanship!
Great Video! Excellent work! I see you glue after you paint. Does that effect the hold or integrity of the model? Or the paint job for that matter? Thank You.
In fact most of the time I prepare (grand) the surface before I Glue or I use loctit glue. The tamiya glue can be used without defect (color change) on painted but not varnished pièce excepted on metalic paint.
Usually motorbikes had the throttle on the right side, but this had it on the left side so that the rider could use his right hand to hold the Thompson sub-machine gun.
Знакомая модель)))). Вы когда краски пишите пишите пожалуйста номера и какой производитель. Цвета и так видны))). Спасибо очень интересное видео. Подписался)))
Hi ! Thanks for your comments ! For the rushes I use mainly 000 and 00 for the details. After it dépend of the surface to paint but I never use more than 1. For the drybrushes, I use several size of flat brushes (it’s a basic set round on Amazon) For panel Line I use the set proposed by MIG (AMMO). In fact, the main thing is to feel confortable. I use always the 4 or 5 same brushes.
You're totally true ! The kit is like that but on archive photos I found the tank looks in one part on the upper side but separate in two on the lower side. So, I choose the "look" prior the historical truth...
I think you are true...I found a french shop : www.tonyshop.fr/italeri-1-9-1109/italeri-7401-harley-davidson-wla-750-us-army-wwii-1-9-57976.html It seems that they ship in several foreign countries !
It,s always a pleasure to watch a modeller in action. This Harley is perfect.
Thank you very much.
Love these military bikes. Wish Italeri kept making them.

Painting each part individually? You may consider building certain segments then painting them. Your skills are impeccable.
Many thanks for your comment ! In fact, I paint by group of pieces which have the same color.
bravo un vrai plaisir à regarder
Merci beaucoup! Le kit d’Italeri n’était pas de grande qualité, j’ai coupé beaucoup de ponçage.... BEAUCOUP !😂

I was thinking of using lacquer paints from tamiya
I just purchased this model and have watched this outstanding video several times. Can you tell me what brand of paint you are using? Excellent workmanship!
Mainly vallejo air paint and à Fès of tamiya paint for the clear parts
Hi. Did you clear coat between the Vallejo paint and the tamiya accent panel line please
sorry for my late answer, yes from Tamiya
Great work ! 👍👍

@@DarkSideModeler Thank you so much)
Interesting stuff!
how hard was the front end to put together
Not so hard. the problem mainly comming from the spring. You need to use cyno glue to be sure to not break it later.
will testors glue work on the front end
@@leroymitch3153 I don't know. I never use this product
@@DarkSideModeler well i'm gonna try it. its a glue for models

You glue the tank parts together, that is wrong, it was two separate parts one for gas one for oil. just have to say! overall nice job.

I think this model has been discontinued, because I can’t find it for sale anywhere.
