Beautifully explained, I have a question, in case of a reverse merger what if the subsidiary company announces any bonus shares, where the swap ratio is pre decided. How will it impact the holding company's swap ratio at the time of merger.

I am very new to trading. Can someone please advice me if should swap shares from IDFC (500 qty) with IDFC First (50 qty) or sell them all together. I bought them form just a day before the merger for short-swing trade. I am 2.6K down already with stop loss at 107.8 and unaware of merger/demerger implications.

Sir I think , this merger arbitrage will continue ...because of taxes , short term capital gains , LTCG ....etc . People will not sell IDFC first bank and buy IDFC ... This kind of situation existed in HDFC also.

Sir I have a question.... ....after merger.... liquidity will increase in the merged entity? And due to liquidity the price will drop and or consolidate in a particular range?
May happen post merger even it can also be included in MSCI index; but it is 12 to 15 months out

To be honest, you did not explain in its entirety, what happens to IDFC First shareholders and will IDFC First cease to exist as a Bank and only IDFC will exist?
Reverse merged- means. Only IDFC First will exist. Explained in first 2 mins of the video
Please watch the video again; its a reverse merger between IDFC & IDFC First so IDFC shareholders will receive shares of IDFC First Bank. IDFC will not exist post the completion of merger
