    if you chop on c6 with the night(5:09)then after b takes c6 queen takes c6 check, black can defend their rook with bishop d7 and whit's queen has to move plus the fact that black has developt 3 pieces.

      In your line after Bd7 notice that the Light squared bishop is blocking the Queen's defense of the Dark squared bishop

    well one problem might be (with Nxc6) is Qb6 and then black gets a central pawn and stunts whites dark bishop from coming out and poses problems for white that after the knight moves black can play ...Bb4+

    5:04 Nxc6 bxc6, Qxc6 Bd7, Qxd6 Ba4 gaining back the lost pawn, because queen must move. If Qxd8 Rxd8 and black has an active rook in a semi open file and more active pieces going into endgame.

    why didn't white in @6:29 protect bishop with pawn H4 preparing to pawn storm king side with the support of the outpost knight opening the H file for the rook if possible , castle long not short and its completely crushing for white and simpler to execute no ? am i missing something ?

    In my last game I rejected the win of a rook against a knight because I would loose both of my two developed pieces (bishop and knight against rook and knight) and also making life easier for black I thought (I was alreday a pawn up and ahead in development).
    Stockfish of course was'nt impressed but evaluation only went from +5,5 (if taking the rook) to +4,0 so I think I was on to something there. Now I also got to play an endgame with a pawn up (need to train those things). 👍

    Do you recommend playing against bots to improve. I like playing bots as there is unlimited time, I can stop half way and come back to a position with a new mindset and there is less pressure. I quite like it but is it hindering my improvement

      Im sure what he is saying is in line of Bjorn Borgs advice in tennis. He would not advice you to read about strokes and serving. To get better you need to play tennis. Same here, you read/ watch videos and need to look to apply these concepts in games. Just my two cents. Knowledge and skills are not the same

    NxC6, BxC6, QxC6, Bd7 just losing for white

  • @beventas98
    @beventas98 Рік тому

    It's interesting because all three of my answers were "wrong". Position 1 I said h4, position 2 I said Bc2, position 3 I said Qh3
    With example 1 I agree Qh3 is much stronger than my h4 idea.Inducing f5 and leaving black with that terrible bishop is positionally crushing
    For example 2 I stand by my move. d5 is a good square but Bc2 -> a4 would dislodge the rook from d8 and free up one of white's rooks to increase the pressure further. This would absolutely maximize the bishop and I believe this would be stronger. However as always Capablanca's idea is simpler, and involves far less tactical calculation.
    For example 3 Capablanca's move is the simplest, and best move. Qh3! is stylish but in hindsight after 1. Qh3 Kf7 it's still clearly winning for white but there is no immediate knockout blow (in my head I thought Kf7 Qh7+ was crushing but it doesn't actually lead to winning any material)
