Great picks except id replace batman/robin eternal with JLA, teen titans or a no mans land omni. Could barely make it through batman/robin eternal tbh.
Fair enough! Teen Titans by Wolfman / Pérez would have been a Fantastic choice honestly 👏 Appreciate the input! I still have yet to delve into Batman NML, is that a team heavy book? 🦇
@@jrson5000 absolutely! I’d likely agree with you here. Overall is it a strong event in your opinion? I know DC released a set of omnibus but I’ve yet to dive in
@@TheComicBookReport well its over 3 omnis total so definitely a commitment. Coming from someone who read it from the first time ever a year ago, i found it very enjoyable. Youd have to decide how you feel about that era of batman. It fits very well with that era. The third omni is definitely the best.
The fact that you consistently come up with video list ideas, I’ve never considered in 1 million years and then always choose the best books possible for those lists proves you’re the GOAT!
You've kind of sold me on Rise and Fall of the Batmen, with it being a Batfamily run with Batwoman in it. If you've liked her and want to know more, get the Batwoman Omni. Its one of my favorite Batman related omnibus if only for the J.H. Williams III art. ❤❤❤
Loved your overview of the first Starman Compendium! If you enjoyed that I would highly recommend the Geoff Johns JSA run--IMHO probably his overall best work, with his Green Lantern work running a close second...
Thank you so much! I’m still making my way through compendium two of Starman, it’s great stuff. And thank you for the recommendation! I know I’ve read think the first 15-20 issues of that JSA run and I remember enjoying it! Would love to finish it one day.
Great picks! Some of these are out of the box of the “norm” and I love that. Totally agree with N52 JL being on this list, it’s SUCH a great team book!
Fun list as always! I’d throw out the Johns Teen Titans omnibus, that really focused on the characters over the super hero stuff and that’s what I love about it
@@KalParkaran I really enjoyed what I read of the Wolfman/Pérez run, but I haven’t read any of that Johns run yet but I love basically everything I’ve read from him. Any previous reading necessary to enjoy that TT run?
@@TheComicBookReport no not at all, it’s very easy to drop into plus the tie ins to Infinite Crisis make that story even better. If you know what happens in Titans/Young Justice Graduation Day it explains why the team is where they are at the start but it fills you in pretty quick.
I loved that run on Detective comics that was essentially a Bat family book. I don't know why they don't bring back that concept. Batman's supporting characters are strong enough to have a book without him as the main character. Batwoman was on such a roll at that point but they kind of killed her momentum. Also liked the Justice League New 52 run. I bought the paperbacks covering the first 3 storylines and I had forgotten how fun those stories were. the New 52 gets a bum rap. It might have failed overall but there were some cool stories.
I only have the Rise and Fall of the Batmen omni from the ones in your list currently. Really loved it. Definetly interested by Secret Six. I have the Batman Eternal omni, I enjoyed it, but Batman and Robin Eternal wasn't for me.
@@VenAuri fair enough, I’m not sure what I expected for Batman & Robin Eternal but so far I’ve enjoyed it a great deal more than I expected to! 🦇 And yeah, Secret Six was a blast! Ooooooweeee, I would totally exchange Batman & Robin Eternal with YOUNG JUSTICE. And also Planetary with Teen Titans by Geoff Johns. But man oh man is JL New 52 & Secret Six are strong choices on this list bro. NOICE.
@@OmniNationComics thanks so much for watching Day Day! I know a bit about Teen Titans, but Young Justice is still a bit of a mystery to me. I really dig Peter David, but what makes that run a standout for you? If you don’t mind me asking.
@@TheComicBookReport Peter David is really good at writing kids/teenagers. The story shows you how these guys are trying to get along as well as the Justice league/parents/relatives are challenging them to see if they’re good enough to be a team.
