“I am very happy to share the speech of Namibia First Lady & Ambassador of Merck More Than a Mother, H.E. Mrs. Monica Geingos from the 9th Edition of Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary - 2022.
She expressed, “I am very happy today to join my sisters; Excellencies’ First Ladies of Africa and all of you as the Guest of Honor of the Ninth Edition of Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary; and to celebrate together the 5th anniversary of our dear partner, Merck Foundation.
It is really lovely to meet everyone face to face at this important platform after almost three years, as it was a tough time for all of us due to the global pandemic. Although, we kept meeting online to continue our partnership and engagement despite all challenges
I really appreciate such platforms that facilitate for us to exchange experience, information and solutions. Thank you, Merck Foundation to make this remarkable conference happen either physically or virtually.
Ladies and gentlemen, our partnership with Merck Foundation is a strong commitment to advancing the public healthcare sector and to raising awareness about sensitive issues such as Breaking Infertility Stigma and supporting education across Africa.
This is very important for Namibia, as we have a very limited number of local specialists in public sector, therefore we appreciate Merck Foundation for such concrete commitment towards this strategy to advance and train public healthcare providers so they can support our populations now and at all times.
I’d like to thank Merck Foundation for organizing these amazing programs, and this platform that has enabled the exchange of brilliant ideas for a promising future.”
