What a fantastic couple. I've done kili twice years ago. Twice cos I didn't complete the first time. Would have loved to have climbed with you two, your enthusiasm is great. Good job guys.
When I watched this so 1st time it amazed me how much talent what talent those gentlemen have carrying carrying that stuff on their head they have to have a lot of training in order to do that That is just so cool to me that they can do it and I'll fall over
Rewatching your Climb Kily adventure brought tears to my eyes. I know that Papa Bingham was right there with you. EPIC, EPIC, EPIC!!!! Dan and Chelle, may your world excursion bring you joy, satisfy your wanderlust, (for now) and allow us all a glimpse of the beauty our world has to offer. Thank you for bring us along!!! Thank you, we love you!!!!☮️❤️🥳
Really enjoyed this! My daughter, her boyfriend and I are climbing in Sept, '23. About lost it when Michelle mentioned her dad. I'll be taking my dad's spirit and memories with me. Very well done!!
Amazing video! Congratulations and thanks for sharing! We watched this video as we (9 of us 57-62-year young kids! - some retired/even grandfathers!) are planning this trek in Feb-24. Our group has done 2-3 such major in Himalayas. Last year we did Markha - Kongmaru La trek in Ladakh. If you are interested, I can share a small UA-cam video with you. Thanks again!
WOW well what can I say? Dan and Chelle that was awesome, I've thoroughly enjoyed the last hour and half watching this, you're both so entertaining, enthusiastic, energetic and such a joy to watch, what a beautiful couple you both are. I leaped with joy when you reached the summit and I felt the fun on the journey up for you both. As for the rest of the team.... what an amazing group of guys the mixture of professionalism, positiveness, upbeat and comically entertaining (all of you) and the hard work to make this happen just absolutely awesome in every respect. Myself and my Mountain hiking partner are planning Kilimanjaro as a must do on our list and thanks to you guys we now know who we want to do it with 😊 Thank you so much to all of you in this video and bless you all ❤
You both did an Awesome job of videoing this Kilimanjaro trip. I truely enjoyed watching the everyday events that you both went through. I hope you do more because you have a great way of presenting all that you both went through. I couldn't ask for more and this is the best video I have seen yet. Two thumbs up and I will be waiting for your next adventure.
I am watching your video now and I'm only about 19 minutes into it. Y'all are so funny to watch. I had a Christmas Eve Summit and watching your video brings back so many memories about what you are feeling and what you are thinking along the hike. CONGRATS.
This is by far the best vlog i have seen for the mountain. Chelle, your energy is incredible, I wish I had that energy but Im gonna take it with me when I attempt to climb in July! It is absolutely amazing that you guys didn't get sick and spent 45 minutes on top wow! Typically they only let you stay 10 minutes max on top due to the altitude so Im truly impressed. Thank you so much for sharing and what beautiful drone shots as well! Big congrats
Congratulations on the massive hike. I have come here from your recent Finland vlogs with interest as an Australian of Finnish heritage (last trip there being December 2019 where I also took my daughter for 6 days way up north, after time with family in Helsinki )… Anyway, with a past love of hiking, I enjoyed this ‘movie’ length vlog so much, and wish I could turn the clock back to when I had younger and better knees, as like you, I would be so high on that sense of achievement. I am learning so much more of our world through UA-camrs like yourselves, but also like to keep some places as a unknown mystery to hopefully discover on my own one day. PS. Hubby and I did the Tasmanian 6 day Cradle Mountain Overpass hike 6 years ago and on day one we had knee deep snow and blizzard conditions and 5 of the 9 pulled out. You can never predict mountain weather. But we stayed with our guides and carried on the next morning with days of sunshine, loads of rain and a little more snow fall. No high altitude like your hike, but still a wonderful experience, which you may like to do if your travels bring you to Australia. Last year, my daughter and I hiked to Australia’s peak which is not a steep climb at all once you take the chair lift up to the start but on that early autumn day the weather was cold and very very windy. So that’s a day hike to add to your list for visiting down under. 🤞🤞 There are alternate routes back down rather than the chairlift and my favourite is Dead Horse Gap. Long but quiet. ….. Sorry, I waffle. Safe travels guys 😊
I'm planning on doing this next year.... I really do have to ask though, how did you look after tpur hair so good. Did you wash it while you were up there or just leave it. How did uou manage this ❤
Amazing video - thank you for sharing your experience. We're hoping to climb next year. Can I ask what camera(s) you brought along and were you glad you brought them vs phone or something smaller?
So we took our Canon R5, which it pretty heavy, but honestly, it’s such a cool experience it needs to be documented the right way! The iPhone is pretty amazing, but still don’t yet compare to a solid mirrorless camera.
@@danandchelle Thanks so much. I need to update my camera so I'll look into the R5. Good to hear that while heavy, it was worth it. I'm sharing your video with the rest of our party. It's over a year away, but we're pretty excited!
We took a couple external batteries! And also a ton of camera batteries 😂 you just need to be sure the external battery has a high enough output power to charge the camera batteries in-camera.
The temps were generally nice! We would definitely shed layers down to a t-shirt, then add them back on all in the same days. Summit morning was definitely cold!
Yours is the best Kili video I’ve seen! DH and I will be climbing this fall and I have so many questions! What month did you go? How did you keep your phone/watch charged on the trip? Did you bring the snacks with you from home? Did you take diamox to prevent altitude sickness? And which Hoka shoes do you recommend? TIA!!
Okay! We went in May. We both took two external travel batteries and charged the phone nightly, but honestly we were hardly on our phones so they didn’t drain that fast. We brought TONS of snacks. Sometimes the food gets old on the mountain, so take things you love eating even if you didn’t have an appetite. Gotta get that energy! And yes, Diamox for altitude. Not sure if it did anything for us since we’ve never been at those altitudes without it 🤷🏽♂️ and I can’t remember the exact model of Hoka’s, but we literally want to bronze them and showcase them on the mantle! Loved them.

I got two messages from Telegram me Dan and CHELLE saying I won’t prize. I highly suspect this is a scammer/hacker hanging out on your UA-cam posts. Thought you might want to know. I’m not sure who else I should notify. They use your image in the post.
Do not answer! It is a scam! I notified UA-cam, though I did not hear anything back from them. I just made sure everyone who follows Dan and Chelle knows it is a huge scam.
Watching lots of Kili videos to do research for my own trip. If I end up being put in a group with "influencers" like these, I'd rather do a private tour just by myself...
If Chelle is like that on daily basis (not only on camera) Dan you’re one patient man, huge respect! 😂
I climbed Kilimanjaro in January, 2023. Thanks for bringing back some amazing memories 👍👍
I loved this all the through ❤ your dad will always be with you 🌻love, hugs & prayers
The video I needed. Thank you!
This video is absolutely AMAZING!!! Very informative and detailed 🎉
This is the BEST Kilimanjaro end to end video ever!

Chell-I noticed your camera is supported on your left shoulder. How is it secures there? I’m planning to take a Canon as well.
Great video! I have a question…how did you charge devices while on your hike?
We took a couple external batteries! And also a ton of camera batteries 😂 you just need to be sure the external battery has a high enough output power to charge the camera batteries in-camera.

Food looks so good for climbing and hiking u r doing
I'm so happy that you had the chance to go and challenge yourself. How long did it take you to climb down
The down climb was about a day and a half! Part way the same day we summited, and the rest the next day.
I’m climbing Kili soon can I ask did you guys or anyone in your group use diamox? I’m unsure weather to use it or take a chance?
Almost everyone used it, and everyone summited!
you guys have the best travel channel on youtube.
I'm climbing in September. What temperatures did you experience during the day while hiking?
The temps were generally nice! We would definitely shed layers down to a t-shirt, then add them back on all in the same days. Summit morning was definitely cold!
This is my favorite adventure that you have had so far , Climb Killy, how amazing to have had this experience.
Hey guys I sure hope you're OK, not sick I hope. Where's the London, ? UK vlog? Stay safe guys, love from NZ

Yeah it’s annoying!
Sometimes Americans need to realise they aren’t in America
You talked too much
Cut back on the chatter and use a better voice. Too much.

can't subscribe because you both are too wordie!! and not enough visual. It's not all both you two
