I never heard of Rupert Everett until I watched My Best Friend's Wedding on netflix this week! Now I'm on a spree watching all his interviews and old films, he is so witty! Such a shame he hasn't acted in more movies

Julia was great here. However, the reason why I really LOVE this movie is that 💘💑👈 magic between Julia and RUPERT in their scenes!!
Rupert Everett was the secret sauce of the film. Of course, Julia Roberts was absolutely radiant. Watching it in Covid times tonight, specially in India where so much tragedy is unfolding all round, made us forget real life for a few hours and took us back to happier times.
This movie slays me. Just this 2 minute clip had me in tears of joy.

I don't know why someone as dashing and charming as him is always given gay roles. And they are always stereotypical and offensive. He is right about making a bad move not coming out. Some actors who didn't did end up having successful careers coming out only after they retired.
