Thanks for the video. I need to get the signal to a Mac. Any suggestions on encoders? We are currently using a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme and are not happy with the quality.
+Scott Bier What signal do you want to get to the Mac? I think we also use Black Magic boxes for getting streaming up our videos. Sorry I cannot help you more on this.
we have 2 camcorder Sony PMW EX3 and sony pmw200. we would like to connect HD 1920x1080 but we do not get cable .What's name of cable?,my friend say me it's a cable HD SDI(bnc).what should use us and what should we do setting on the mixer for i have 1920x1080.? thank you for help please
Bonjour, Nice camera's! In our situation we used the mini-HDMI to HDMI. Than we plugged these HDMI's into the mixer. I do not know if the Sony's have mini-HDMI or maybe a Sony HDMI ?! Later we used the mini hdmi to hdmi and than plugged the normal hdmi into a Blackmagic HDMI to SDI convertor. This way there is less data los through sdi over longer distances. We can use the sdi signal over more than 40 meters. I hope this was an answer to your question. If this is not the answer to your question please let me know. Good luck!
thank you;i know where are the problem,i solves a problem. now I have another problem. i can't connect my computer ASUS to the mixer. i connect this with a cable DVI-HDMI. the DVI are going to mixer,and the HDMI are going to my computer. what should I do because it's not working?thank you
Hi, First off, make sure to set the DVI input correct. You can choose between XGA, WXGA, SXGE, etc.Experiment with these and try to scroll though the different settings. Also fiddle with the output settings of your laptop and try different DVI output settings. Experiment a lot. If you are sure you tried everything it is possible it has to do with the hdcp protocol, aka 'copyright crap'. Google 'panasonic hmx100 hdcp' and you will find more people with similar problems. I am not sure, but if that is the problem there might be devices which could solve the problem. Or maybe a HDMI to SDI converter? Good luck and let me know how it worked out!
