A great F4 style Mandola from the master luthier Steve Gilchrist. Nicely balanced with immense projection this is a world class mandola as you can here from Sierra Hull's great playing.
Almost unbelievable the comments posted about this very talented young woman. It's no wonder so many people block "comments" from the viewing public.
Jealousy...pedal steel players get a lot of it from guitarists :D
This is one of the most beautiful and sweet sounding instruments ever. Nice playing by a fine dedicated artist too.
What a beautiful tone that instrument has. Clearly a mando. The resonance and the voicing of the instrument is quite nice, and fills the space between the mandolin and the mandocello quite nicely. This is a very nice example of the instrument. And nicely played. Gives you a good idea of what the instrument can do.
The mandola is the tenor version of the mandolin family instrument, mandolin is the alto member, octave mandolin and mandocello are on the baritenor (baritone tenor) region, piccolo mandolin is the soprano voice, mandolone is the bass-baritone voice, and mando-bass is the bass voice.
Really starting to like the sound of a mandola. Course when you someone like this playing makes it all that much better.
Beautiful H4 ..Beautiful playing.
Mandola is rapidly becoming my #2 instrument after guitar.
Amazing Pilgrim!! 💘
Loooooove you Sierra🎶💚🌎🌻🙋♀️
Beautifuly played
The mandola is tuned exactly like standard jazz tenor banjo.
I am still looking for a video of Sierra playing a relatively cheap mandolin that I can afford as as upgrade from my starter mando. Not ready to make the $8995+ jump just yet to a Gibson Master Model
I know that MandoLessons recommends the Kentucky KM-150 as an intermediate, good-value instrument
95% of the imported mandos are made by the same Chinese manufacturer. 300-400 dollar range, any brand you can't go wrong.
Wow
Hello, I would like to have this Mandola, where I can buy this and how about the price ?
Mandolas and octave mandolins always make the player look like they have shrunk...really beautiful sounding (and looking) instrument. Shame it probably costs more than some cars...
Sounds much more better than most cars

To be fair, she’s really tiny.
Wow, I do like that ditty. 😊
To heck with the mandola. How abou that beautiful, kinda shy gal who just played the daylights out of that instrument, just for me. Bravo!
nice mandola - tune didn't do much for me though.
@AWelsh Celt The song is I Am A Pilgrim
You seem like a nice guy - your opinion didn't do too much for me though
Don’t be a troll

@Mike Hedding I thought it was drifting too far from the shore
