Also remember getting blank TDK audio cassettes and prepare list of songs and getting the recording done from audio store. Awesome stuff. I remember taping Jurassic Park on VHS and watching it over and over, and I used to always try and pry open to see whats inside the tape because I was very curious as a kid. These tapes should be treasured!

Compact Disc Video replaced VHS in mid 90''s my Delhi's cable operator started in 97 to show movies in CD on local channel and DVD was newly launch in those-days with Dolby and DTS logo. I was so happy seeing that, thought with this will give the theater sound, didn't knew it's just decoding, will be needing and AC3 (audio codec 3) amplifier worth 25,000 and speaker and an active sub-woofer worth 10,000.

Good old memories. I'm in UK used to have a big collection of Hindi movies. But I used to love the Indian versions by time video, magnum video etc everytime my friends or relatives went India I used to give them a list of titles to bring back.
Bhai humari poori collection abhi bhi hai ghar pe aur VCR bhi hai. Jo humara purana VCP tha vo sell kar diya tha around 2010. Lekin phir 2018 me dobara khareeda ek VCR, aur gramophone bhi. Ab vinyl ki bhi collection hai aur VHS ki to purani hai hi.

My fufa ji brought VCR from Europe in late 80s, he was in merchant Navy. Bua ji brought it along with when she used to visit us.. Being Amitabh Bachchan fan, they had tapes of Ajooba, Hum, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati... We watched them on repeat, rarely got money to bring tapes on rent. He also brought one Japanese tape recorder for my parents, it was 1/10th the size of old big radios and players. Used to listen to test match commentary on it sitting in sun during winters😊... Still have many audio cassettes of 60s,70s, 80s songs... 90s songs were vulgar according to my parents 😛, they allowed us to watch only Rangoli and Chitrahaar... Not Superhit Muqabala😅

I've recorded doordarshan shows on VHS tapes on the VCR. Unfortunately all tapes were disposed as scrap sometime in the last 25 years.😢
