I find a deep meaning in this song. I perceive it as a girl talking to her former self. Trying to convince herself that she is now who she intended to be and is no longer acting like someone everyone else wants her to be. Taylor never wanted to be a child actor, she always wanted to do music and as a result she's said her childhood was rather lonely since she didn't have friends (lonely road lyric) and because of that, she resents her parents tot he point where she no longer speaks to them (I'm not coming home). this is a letter to her sister saying she wishes she could be there for her and for her sister not to cry when she misses her
