I wish he showed how he makes drums. Like from the most basic to the point where he feels good putting it in a sample pack. One thing I notice is most really fucking good producers don’t actually show how they make drums, except like Au5 and Virtual Riot. It’s like trade secrets haha.
@@wayveemusic Yeah, that or how he adds effects and does compression and leveling and what not to make the drums sit in the mix so well. All of the above. Au5 has some awesome snare drum design videos from scratch. So cool.
@@wayveemusic He obviously isn’t just downloading a sample from the internet and keeping it exactly how it was with no additions or personal flavor added.
@@DragonDrummer2 well its always better to pick the best and clean drums and leave them dry in my opinion, the thing is that you need to sidechain everything the right way
@@ItsWesSmithYo100%. Especially if you keep watching his videos, spend a little money and show some support and love❤ Deconstruct the samples and make them into your own AND then make your own!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Love the video, the track you made is one of the best tracks by a tutorial by far, but I would really appreciate a more detailed version of this when you explained the breakdown as well and how your thoughts were when making it because it’s really hard to do I think as well to match it with a good drop
Not just the tutorials, but the energy that this guy shows and shares with the audience... That's what really caught my attention. Keep grinding bro. You deserve the best! ❤️🔥
it is when you use presets & pre-made loops.. & Techhouse is so easy as it is.. its the making the sounds & programming that takes the skill.. weather he does os dosent make his own stuff is irrelevant.. but hes using pre-made everything. its like music by numbers.
Man you are the man on youtube for these tuts. I'm a very experienced producer and have enjoyed watching you grow up and get better over the years. Keep up the great work. Hint: I think you should do some more tuts on mixing and channel racks, I think that's where a lot of people get messed up and not deliver the higher quality songs they may have the idea, but if it's not mixed right,, it's never going to sound right
Excellent video. Noob here. I've always played around w/ music but only now as I am getting older finding myself in a DAW far too often. Very clean and fun presentation.
techhouse doesn't have to be boring and simple. in this video you just chose a pretty minimalistic style from techhouse. There are a lot of other (more complex) styles Look for Andreas Henneberg, Juliet Sikora, Format B....
the beat is awesome, great tutorial...id put the vocal in its own sampler instrument on ADSR, instead of how u did it, but thats just my preference...fire video, u help people out and thats amazing!!!
Just stumbled across this and I've learnt a lot in 13 mins then listening to someone bang on about how simple things are but never do things that are simple.
I'm not really a huge fan of tech house because it's just too minimalistic and repetitive for me, but I'll of course be here to watch these tutorials. :)
Hello moonboy im a big fan from th north Africa (Tunisia) and i looooooooove Dubstep, wonkey dubstep all the genre of EDM i love you bruh i looooooove you (your hairstyle 😍😍😍😍
Subscribed. Nice friendly breakdown of what it is and what makes it so... then effectively delves deeper into the finer points. It's one thing to know yet shit.. but quite another to impart that knowledge effectively as a good teacher 👍
very good man, thank you for having you here on UA-cam, can you ask me a question? Permission from the copyright holders is needed to use acapellas in productions?
My bro you this is fire. You are are a waaaay better producer than I, but where you're saying you are sidechaining the vocal, you are more accurately "ducking" the vocal with that automation. I am sure you understand this but maybe this alleviates confusion for somebody. Probably I will just confuse you more, BUT.. Sidechaining, traditionally is a wiring/connection path where you actually split the signal which triggers the compressor(usually kick) to "duck" the track that the compressor is on(usually bass). One split goes into the compressor to trigger the ducking, and one split goes to the mixer. This is because hardware compressors don't usually output the sidechain signal, and if you think about it, this makes sense. If you put a compressor on a bass, and you run your kick output to trigger the compressor, then unless the compressor does some internal routing, which would essentially be that same split we put in the chain earlier, AND has a separate output for your kick or whatever, then that kick sound would die in the compressor. So sidechaining refers to this little chain you have made with the compressor, bass, and kick, which because of the splitter, goes off to the side of its main path. Of course you could have a layout where your going up or down instead of to the side but if you visualize the signal path vertically, the way channels are usually laid out on a mixer, it becomes clear. The effect this has is known as ducking. Software and ever more complex hardware eventually handled the need to actually wire up this physical sidechain, but you can do it in Reason, where I first did it.
You and Sidepiece/ Lee Foss must be lowkey collabing because they just used this sample in 1, 2 step haha. That’s some crazy timing on that parallel development, I guess you guys have similar tastes; good for me because I do too 🤩
The truth is if the music is good it's actually mostly thanks to the real talent inside those samples. Those modern "producers" are adding so few value..
I usually don’t expect a lot from UA-camrs sharing production tips but moonboy gives out pure sauce on beatmaking. Insane

well I would actually recommend people like Chris Lake, Walker & Royce or Claude VonStroke for more complex and creative tech house stuff...
Im 31 and the way you find those old tracks dope gives me hope my tastes as a preteen were spot on lol
thank you so much MOONBOY for the free tech house project files

Just got to go see a live tech house festival. It gets wild
Me nether but it works live
Its all about the bassline my man. You want the bass and drums be be extremely groovy and live you will go NUTS.
it's up to the producer to not copy-paste entire sections with no spice added
Agree it’s stupidly repetitive
the pumping vocal with Utility instead of Lfo is pretty dope !
Thank you for sharing your learnings
YOU HAVE TO RELEASE IT its so so cool!
Oh my god you are a wizard!!!
Fire bro, loving John Summit’s style rn
This was a great video and you delivered so much value i don't even mind you sharing the packs bro. You are great at what you do
what I get from all his vids is a break down of each genre.. & use presets & samples.
so yes thats all good but its not teaching you anything.
Gregor Tresher - Unfold. Tech house to me is something between house and techno. Jacking simple massive beats, techno type hook, simple melody if any
Just discovered your UA-cam Channel, Well done! Congrats!

i was thinking the same thing hahah
I have a song up on Spotify with the vocal too haha
Oliver Heldens beat everyone to it 9 years ago 🙃 ua-cam.com/video/-sTNsVt7XqY/v-deo.html

God bless! Big fan!
That’s really cool, thanks you men

can you elaborate on this?
