One of the things that was left out of the movie but was in The Prisoner of Azkaban novel is that James Potter (Harry's father), Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew were the original inventors of The Marauders Map. That is the reason why Professor Lupin knew how to use it. When the original Marauders were students in Hogwarts they were all best friends. When James, Sirius and Peter found out that Remus is a werewolf they decided to become Animagus (wizards that can willfully magically turn into an animal just like Professor McGonagall can turn into a cat) because werewolves don't attack other animals and Remus' friends didn't want him to be alone during the full moon period. This is why the map reveals the weird names when you use the "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" spell. They were the nicknames of the Marauders. Mooney is Remus Lupin because he is a werewolf. Padfoot is Sirius Black because his animagus form is a dog. Wormtail is Peter Pettigrew because his animagus form is a rat. And James Potter is Prongs because his animagus form is a stag. Dumbledore knew about Remus' condition and how Remus became a werewolf when he was only a very small child. So he had the Womping Willow tree planted and had a tunnel put in so that Remus can hide in the Shrieking Shack during the full moon cycle. 🌜🌕🌛🐺🐶🦌🐀🪄🌳🏚
Padfoot was Sirius, Prong was James, Moonie was Rirmus and as you said Wormtail was Peter. You explained the map as well as the book. My guess you are a writer or did excellent in English class.

" The taunt about his father rang in Harry's ears as though Black had bellowed it. A boiling hate erupted in Harry's chest, leaving no place for fear. For the first time in his life, he wanted his wand back in his hand, not to defend himself, but to attack... to kill. Without knowing what he was doing, he started forward, but there was a sudden movement on either side of him and two pairs of hands grabbed him and held him back.... "No, Harry!" Hermione gasped in a petrified whisper; Ron, however, spoke to Black. "If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too!" he said fiercely, though the effort of standing upright was draining him of still more color, and he swayed slightly as he spoke. Something flickered in Black's shadowed eyes. "Lie down," he said quietly to Ron. "You will damage that leg even more." "Did you hear me?" Ron said weakly, though he was clinging painfully to Harry to stay upright. "You'll have to kill all three of us!" "
I almost cry every time, when I see how Professor Lupin "packs" his suitcase at the end. It shows so hard how he really USED TO go away and be excluded...😒 My favorite character from all HP series.
In the Prisoner of Azkaban book, Professor McGonagall got permission from the Ministry of Magic to allow Hermione to borrow a Time Turner so that she may take as many classes as she like. But taking so many classes with the Time Turner began to take a large physical toll on Hermione. She was cramming almost 48 hours of living into a 24 hour day. She even started having a hard time staying awake during the day. By the very end of the book Hermione returned the Time Turner to Professor McGonagall not only because it was physically getting far too difficult to live that many extra hours in a single day but Hermione began to consider the Time Turner way too powerful of a temptation to use for other reasons. Like Hermione said to Harry, "Terrible things happens to wizards who meddle with time". ⏳️🪄
Moony,Wormtail, Padfoot,Prongis the creator of the map Moony = Remus Lupin Wormtail = Petter Pettigrew Padfoot = Sirius Black Prongs = James Potter They created the map together to be able to get in and out of Hogwarts safely because every full moon they had to guard Lupin because he would become a werewolf
To me one of the great successes of this movie is the use of magical items. The time turner and Marauder's map are probably the 2 coolest items introduced in the whole franchise
This was the turning point in the series. Childhood ends and things start getting darker and more mature. Probably one of my favorite films of the series! Its darker but still has a great sense of humor about it.

(Just four you) - I’ll share about the origins of Dementors is just a shorter version that dates back BEFORE Hogwarts existed. ❤❤❤❤Îlyius was a young orphan wizard who, according to an ancient story, single-handedly saved his village from a Dark wizard & his army of Dementors with his mouse Patronus. His mouse Patronus was capable of producing an incredibly strong corporeal form; a Patronus in the full form of a mouse. His Patronus, despite its small size, was powerful enough to banish an entire army of Dementors, shining so brightly, he amazed with fellow wizarding neighbours with his exceptional skill According to legend, Illyius was a shy, penniless orphan who lived a very long time ago in a wizarding village in the mountains. The hamlet was surrounded by a thick forest, where a Dark wizard, Raczidian, resided in a black castle guarded by Dementors. For many years, a sort of truce existed between Raczidian and the people of the village, with Raczidian leaving the villagers alone, and the villagers staying out of the part of the forest where his fortress was located. However, realising the danger that Raczidian's Dementors posed, the villagers duly taught the Patronus Charm to every generation. While not everyone was able to master the spell, there were always just enough Patronuses to ensure that, in the event Raczidian ordered an attack, the village would be protected. Thus, when Illyius reached the age of 17, the village elders showed him and the village's other young witches and wizards how to cast the Patronus Charm. Illyius was able to produce a full corporeal Patronus, but to his humiliation, it took the form of a mouse. Having never seen such a puny, feeble-looking Patronus before, everyone laughed at Illyius, and the village elders instructed him never to use the spell again. A short time thereafter, Raczidian took notice of Eliana, a beautiful young girl who lived in the village (who Illyius had never spoken to due to his shyness), while she was out picking berries in the forest. Deciding that she would make an ideal wife, Raczidian sent a demand to her parents, but they refused to consent to the marriage. Raczidian then threatened to send his Dementors to destroy the village unless they delivered Eliana to him. The village elders had a meeting and agreed to put up a fight. Eliana was sent to Illyius's tiny shack, and Illyius was ordered to sit out the battle and keep her company, as his Patronus was thought to be too weak to be of any use. At first, the villagers managed to hold back the torrent of Dementors that attacked the village with their Patronuses (which included bears, wolves, and wild boars), but gradually the sheer number of foes began to overwhelm them. The Patronuses grew faint, and the spellcasters collapsed, or fled for their lives. Eliana begged Illyius to do something. So he cast the Patronus Charm, and despite its diminutive size, the mouse shone with a brilliant light, bringing the Dementors to a halt as it nimbly moved through the ranks of fleeing villagers. Enraged, Raczidian decided to enter the fray himself, and tried to summon a Patronus to ward off Illyius's mouse. However, he failed to remember that only the pure of heart can produce a Patronus, and thus for the first time in history, it was revealed what happens when a competent but unworthy wizard or witch attempts the spell. Maggots shot out of Raczidian's wand and quickly devoured him as they engulfed his entire body. The villagers hailed Illyius as a hero. He married Eliana and had a long happy life and from that day the most esteemed Patronus in the village was the swift nimble mouse. Illyius was noted for his extreme shyness. He often found himself tongue-tied and unable to speak to others. However, he also seemed to have been very resourceful, as he was able to survive on his own without his parents. He also had advanced magical abilities, as he was able to produce a full corporeal Patronus when others could not. Given the strength of his Patronus charm, he likely had much happiness inside him despite his difficult life as an orphan. He was also remarkably courageous despite his shyness, and fought against and defeated an entire army of Dementors himself, saving his entire village. There also was a part where the mouse Patronus had something to do with being able to sneak through the castle etc, avoiding sight completely. So it showed to his fellow villagers something important. Now anyone else that had a small Patronus animal wasn’t made fun of anymore or whatever else! His Patronus saved the world essentially.

Between Michael Gambon and Richard Harris when it comes to the character of Professor Dumbledore, I will always choose Richard Harris. When I read through Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone for the first time, then saw the movie version, Richard was everything I envisioned Professor Dumbledore to be in the book: A wise, caring, wizard mentor who had a level head and a heart of gold. Michael Gambon did his best, and I commend him for it, but there is a part in the following movie adaptation that didn't match up with the literature. I will not spoil it for those who haven't seen what I'm talking about. My favorite things about Prisoner Of Azkaban: 1. The song "Double Trouble". 2. Hermione punching Malfoy right in his smug face. 3. The introduction of Gary Oldman as Sirius Black and David Thewlis as Remus Lupin. 4. Harry flying on Buckbeak's back.
Took me years to understand how fucking epic Gary Oldman is. 5th element, Leon the Professional, The Dark Knight trilogy as Gordon…. Chefs kiss level of maximum acting.
I personally prefer Gambon, because he seemed more formidable and tough in a way I felt Dumbledore needed to be as the series progressed. Harris did a fine job though of course.
It took a lot of effort for McGonnagal to get one let alone give the time turned to Hermione. Let’s just say there are tons of rules and such put upon having one let alone using one. There is a story of a man I’ll not name since there is cool bc ideas to react to about it who essentially through the ministry travelled hundreds of years into the past and it became a very difficult thing to deal with getting him back or something along those lines. Maybe someone here can add to this story before the reactors read this comment so heh can learn the rest too! She went through ALOT just to get one let alone to freely give it to Hermione.
Professor Trelawney is legit. When she says things that may not make sense or seem harsh and then act like she doesn't know what just happened is when she is making a prophecy. I believe when she spoke to Hermione about her heart it was a reference to her aging more rapidly by using the Time Turner so much. Another prophecy was about the escape to rejoin his master was about Peter Pettigrew escaping to go find his master towards the end of the movie.
Time travel can be a little confusing with this particular time travel it is considered a closed loop what was going to happen will happen was always going to happen the way it happened. Now when you compare it to say Back to the Future that is not a closed loop that causes branches to break off, so Marty McFly made a change which caused his parents to change in the future from what they originally were. We're here the change was always going to happen nothing branched off what happened was always going to happen. If that makes sense
That's a very good way to explain it! I've thought of time travel in this movie is more about changing the future rather than the present by ensuring events happening in the present actually take place the way they're meant to. I hope that makes sense!
16:37 it’s funny how you keep on, mentioning Professor Lockhart, considering the actor that plays him, and the actress that plays Sybil, are or were married in real life.
@@CoryGasawayIt's interesting because not all roles played by the same actor are alike, but Marge and Trunchbull are similar They both are in positions of authority over the main character, they are both cruel, and they look similar (one actor can look VERY different depending on the movie for multiple reasons like age and makeup)
Very good advice. The movies have left out so much, in order to be reasonably long, and not 3h + . With subtitles it's easier to catch the minimalistic hints and clues, squeezed in here and there.
Please continue with the films you guys...they get better and the story gets darker and more mature...If you enjoyed these first three movies, you will definitely appreciate the rest of them even more

They both are in positions of authority over the main character, they are both cruel, and they look similar (one actor can look VERY different depending on the movie for multiple reasons like age and makeup)
It’s hard to recognize Emma Thompson as Professor Trelawney ❤️
She has such a versatile acting range. (Purposeful understatement)
Right?? She did this role so incredibly well.
Nice reaction, Azkaban is a great film with a nice plot twist. From here on in the stakes get higher.
So glad I remembered the name of the channel! I had a brain fart and forgot what it was and was missing the two of you together

another Amazing Reaction! Keep them coming🤙🔥
you guys this was an AMAZING reaction ✌
It would be helpful for you guys to watch the rest of the movies with subtitles- otherwise you miss a lot
Very good advice. The movies have left out so much, in order to be reasonably long, and not 3h + . With subtitles it's easier to catch the minimalistic hints and clues, squeezed in here and there.
Great reaction! Looking forward to the next ones!
Thank you!!
